Early 90’s Ram Charger my dad had one! Also it’s got a badge right next to his shoulder

I will have to say, this generation of Ramcharger was based on the first gen ram, which is also partially part of the third and final gen of D/W series.
Confused? Ok, let me explain. D/Ws were the method of diferentiating 2 (D) and 4wd (W), followed by duty with 3 number format. 100, 150, 250. Same as the F-series plus drivetrain.
The third and final gen started in the seventies. On the 1981 model year, it was rebranded as Ram but kept the same platform and name scheme, now becoming the Ram D/W. I do have a first year Ram. Badass.
So this means that you can buy a third gen D/W that isn't a Ram. Pretty much every part of these trucks is exchangeable between early and late models.
That said, while the legendary Cummins 12v is well known, the earlier versions of the gen could be ordered with a...Mitsubushi diesel? Yup, same engine as...a delivery truck and a passenger bus (Mitsubishi Fuso Canto and Rosa). Interesting it happened, I guess?
Natural_Youth_5941@reddit
Ah so like a modern day Honda prologue?
South-Pollution-816@reddit

1991.5-1997 Ramcharger. They stopped selling the square ones in the US after 1993 but continued production of them in Mexico for a few more years.

Peep the Ramcharger. My folks had one when I was a kid in the early 2000s.
By my barely extant recollection, it was a gigantic hunk of shit and I miss it dearly.

Femveratu@reddit

Tacoshortage@reddit
Are the triggers linked? What's that straight line between them?
Evil_Creamsicle@reddit
I'm betting its a string tied to the trigger so he can fire the shotgun without removing his control hand from the rifle grip.
One-Strategy5717@reddit
Maybe. If it was an Ithaca, he might have the trigger tied back so he could slam-fire it.
Evil_Creamsicle@reddit
That's really cool but honestly I'm more interested in that ram charger
MonolithicBaby@reddit
I think I’m gay. This is hot af.
