Anyone know what this symbol means?

Found on the charger port of a BH EasyMotion 29"
EVO I just picked up. Battery + charger work independently but won't the battery won't charge when plugged in, the charger light just stays green, so when I was getting ready to test the voltage on the frame port, I saw this. It looks like it would be maybe to lock the waterproof cap, but it really only goes in one way. Is it locked and that's why it won't charge? Or is the bracket in a locked position and if I take these screws out, it rotates to an unlocked one or something?

unscrew it and put in whater charging port you want. Simple fix

Looks like UltraMan...

align arrows when plugging in, twist clockwise to lock in place so it doesn't unplug.
screws have nothing to do with it, they hold the socket in place.

You were ripped off my boy.
BH easymotion ebikes were designed to fail and further not be repaired. Each model has a unique battery and charger, display, controller, throttle, etc.
Despite being the same system, they installed firmware that requires a "handshake" as well as changed pinouts to achieve this extreme level of designed obsolescence.
It is very very difficult to get the exact part needed for your specific model. Whoever sold this knew, and offloaded this lemon to you.
Scrap it.
Also the charge port there has a lock ring, that is why you see an "unlock" symbol there.

Damnnn so they knew what was going on before the battery died. it still has charge on it and everything. What part is needed? I’ve seen someone on YouTube manually charging his, the setup doesn’t look optimal but I’m not opposed to DIY’ing something together.

I mean, you could just rip out that battery and install a non proprietary one. If what the previous guy said is legit, I doubt the controller cares where the power comes from, just that it gets dc voltage.
Krostovitch@reddit
Most of the time you'd be correct. However BH is the exception. Usually if a customer has a dead battery for an obsolete ebike (early vanmoof for example), I just wire in a new batter of sufficient current limit and voltage.
BH got ahead of this, everything, even the motor has a CANBUS comm requiring a "handshake" to function.
Junk. I'm glad they left the US, good riddance.

I kinda thought that reading things around the net. So I'm it's probably just easier to swap motor, controller and battery at that point.

God. Fucking. Damn. Rent. Seeking. Fucks.

What is the mechanism that failed, is it something on the bms? Or is it in the connector? Even if it's dumb expensive I'm okay with paying to at least get it working. I've had so much fun using this thing, I don't want to accept that it's over after it discharges

And as I said to another commenter, the charger I bought from powatechnic was advertised as made for this bike on the website and claimed on the battery that "This charger has been internally reconfigured and electronically adapted for exclusive use with a specific e-bike system." I don't think the company is a scam, it's a legit charger and it has power, I tested it with the multimeter. This has been like the only brand that makes one with this connector too

So it's a 36v 350/548watt motor, 417.6wh rear wheel mounted hub motor bike? Or is this the 48v version? I'm getting conflicting info looking it up. Says the evo snow is a rwd only in some places and the evo29 is 2wd, but then I see it says it's rwd. Either way if ya want any use out of it it looks like you are gonna have to put your own system on it or call it done. Seems like it has some good components though. Nice Shimano deore/xt, suspension, could probably use the tektro auriga brakes, hollow tech crank, and the octalink to go with it. Looks like it uses a sora 3500 9 speed or a ca-m8000 11-42 cassette with a total of 30 speeds. Either way seems like decent components. It does seem to be a touch heavy at around 57lbs. Could swap out the rear hub motor, get ya a controller and 48v 15-30 ah battery and be pretty much fine. It's more of an expense but what ya got now is kind of unusable. Just something to think over I suppose
Ok_Entrepreneur3886@reddit
48v. Is it actually unusable once this charge is out? Powatechnic advertised their charger as specifically for this bike. That sucks, but it seems like a doable project if I can mount a different battery into the frame.

Post pics of what wires are behind those 2 screws
Ok_Entrepreneur3886@reddit
Will do
Complete-Jeweler-804@reddit
I believe that blue wire runs to the bms. You'll have to open the battery up. The red n black are for charging tho. I believe the blue is for the bms. blue wire purpose
Ok_Entrepreneur3886@reddit
Red, black, and blue.

Complete-Jeweler-804@reddit
I would pull those 2 screws and see what wires are behind it. If only 2 wires red & black or red & white. I would replace it with one of these and use a regular charger. charging port charging being stuck on green id open the battery and see if the fuse is good.
Ok_Entrepreneur3886@reddit
Thanks, I'll have to try this.
rvralph803@reddit
You can clearly see the locking collar. The charger will have some kind of free floating collar on its side that can be rotated to engage with this and prevent the charger from being pulled out until unlocked.
That said, green means three things: - battery is fully charged - charger is broken - battery is borked
Ok_Entrepreneur3886@reddit
Damn, maybe the charger powatechnic sold me was wrong, because it's all one piece. They advertise it as specifically for the bike on their website, and you have to pick out the right option for your model (mine is the 48v) and there's a sticker that reaffirms this on the charger itself "This charger has been internally reconfigured and electronically adapted for exclusive use with a specific e-bike system."
PickleAlly@reddit
Clearly it’s a twist lock connection. You can tell because of the way it is.
urlond@reddit
Picked up as in brand new, or Picked up as 5finger discount?
Otter940@reddit (OP)
Lmao I got it off marketplace but it actually does look brand new. They didn’t have a charger so I ordered one made by Powatechnic in the UK that says it’s configured for these bikes
