If they're fresh, they can be fried like just like in the pic or mixed with egg to make an omelet. There's probably more ways to use them but that's how we usually do it at home.
If they're bought dried, we call them lansang (literally translates to nails, like the construction material). Also fried to crispiness before serving.
Idk what it's called in other places in the Philippines. Can only speak for my own island.

I love those!!! So hard to find in the US of A southern state and tiny town. Also not the same from Amazon last I tried.

My Filipino husband once fried these up inside our kitchen, the stink was unbearable
never-failed-an-exam@reddit
In my part of the world we serve this with rice and vinegar. Yum
Sumo_creates@reddit
What is the fish called, i really want to try it
never-failed-an-exam@reddit
They're called bolinao where I'm from. Young anchovies I think.
Sumo_creates@reddit
Do you prepare them or you just eat them out of the bag ?

I really want to eat the dried ones, but i don’t like frying in my studio space, i cant just eat them right off the bag ?
never-failed-an-exam@reddit
Eating them right off isn't really how its done, but I've never tried either. Why not give it a go anyways.
Sumo_creates@reddit
I’ll report later, i asked the cashier she told me you only need some oil, not deep frying
never-failed-an-exam@reddit
Yup, just pan-fried for a bit. Enjoy!
nogardleirie@reddit
Are you a cat?
AverageInfamous7050@reddit
roughczech@reddit
I would eat that
Mother-Valuable7568@reddit
The fish? Or the CAT? 😺
mycarisafooked@reddit
Both
AverageInfamous7050@reddit
Catfish.
mycarisafooked@reddit
Has anyone tried breeding a cat with a fish?
Needs to be done for science
AverageInfamous7050@reddit
Cats don't like water. Fish don't like land. It'd have to be quick.
roughczech@reddit
Well first you give the cats gills then you let the nature take care of itself. However that might end up with few well fed pussies...
AverageInfamous7050@reddit
Bowl of fish distracts the cat, cat gets plowed from behind by a teenage mutant tuna. Offspring would be epic. Like the band.
mycarisafooked@reddit
Listen - if humanity was always as half glass empty as you, we wouldn't get anywhere.
Don't worry about the time, the bigger question is is the fish or cat on top?
AverageInfamous7050@reddit
I'm not sure why, but it's gotta be doggie.
mycarisafooked@reddit
You're right, has to be a male fish taking the cat from the back, anything else and the fish is eaten.
We are literally almost halfway to a scientific breakthrough that could change mankind as we know it forever.
roughczech@reddit
First the pussy then then all the fish. Both will be fish flavored :))
itemluminouswadison@reddit
