Most recent episode of a 3 part series Nate is releasing on oil. From what I understand, he decided to create this series after the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.

This is Nates moment. He’s been all about this for years.

I find it odd he lives such a modern lifestyle himself

unfortunately he’s a lib. Still appreciate his wide boundary perspectives tho!

They want us to fight among each other and be distracted. Nate Hagens is not a lib. He is a complex imperfect human animal.

He featured Sam Harris on his podcast recently, very lib coded move. Sam Harris is a sociopath, something Nate should be able to discern.

Can you list the main points discussed in the episode you are talking about?
According to vegans, 99% of the human populace choose to do evil. According to anti-natalists, vegans that have children are doing something immoral. What action did Sam Harris do?
You should listen to "The Plea" by artist "Flea" if you want to musically realize what I'm getting at.

Sam Harris is Zionist Islamophobic scum who supports genocide and ethnic cleansing and helps manufacture consent for the deep state’s wars
TheRationalPsychotic@reddit
Did you realize this from carefully listening to Sam Harris and making up your own mind?
I have no opinion on the matter. But your statements are lacking an argument with evidence. And I suspect you don't actually listen to Sam Harris.
I do know Nate Hagens is apolitical and does his best to be a good person.
MLK said: Only LOVE can conquer hate, the way only light can vanquish darkness. (paraphrasing)
Maybe it's time for a walk.

Let me guess, you’re too young to remember the Dubya presidency clearly? Sam Harris played a crucial role in manufacturing consent for the GWOT.

I think Reagan was USA president when I was born.
I just know Nate isn't political. He's not omniscient either or responsible for all the statements of his guests.
Sam could be a shill. He could be acting with good intentions based on his information. I remember him from when he was promoting atheism so that might be why he doesn't side with muslims. I have better things to spend my limited time than forming an opinion about Sam.
Maybe Nate is a shill. But that is an unknown. And I don't see the angle. He's into peak oil and the environment. He wisely avoids ideology. He's an educator.
I think endless arguing among each other is the goal. The app doesn't want to you believe Sam. It wants you to hate him. Everything on your screens and in print is shown to you by a handful of Media Barons. Officially, they just want to keep you engaged to show you ads.

Nate isn’t a shill, Sam is. Again, he’s part of the manufacturing consent machinery of the deep state. That’s an undeniable fact. Nate being a lib is probably why he doesn’t haven’t an aversion of hosting such a depraved tool of imperialism on his podcast. That’s my only criticism of Nate, other than that he’s doing far more good than harm.
darkpsychicenergy@reddit
Nate is far more wise and intelligent than you, and he wouldn’t host a “tool of imperialism” or deep state shill.

You memory holed the GWOT era friendo. I was and am an atheism leaning agnostic so I’m quite familiar with Sam Harris as I’ve listened to many of his talks. He is 100% a shill and a manufacturer of consent.
darkpsychicenergy@reddit
You’re citing YouTube comments as evidence. I think that says it all.
escapefromburlington@reddit (OP)
Nate doesn’t get the usual YouTube rabble in his comments
darkpsychicenergy@reddit
Anyone who doesn’t bend over backwards to glaze Islamists at every turn and pretend all Muslims are heckin wholesome comrades is Zionist Islamophobic scum these days and that’s as lib as it gets.
Propping up and bankrolling Islam, especially the worst of it, was a neoliberal project to help crush socialism. Neolibs and neocons have always adored Islamists, just not when they nationalize their resources or when their jihad bullshit gets too expensive.
escapefromburlington@reddit (OP)
Let me guess: you’re Israeli. Was I right?
TheRationalPsychotic@reddit
Nate isn't a lib whatever that means to you. Nate deals in compassion and sober facts. That's all I'm trying to say.
Tribalism is one of the problems. I was compelled to push back because Nate makes an effort to avoid the trap of identity politics.
What Israel is doing is bad Mkay. No caveat.

I respect Nate, he’s one of the only libs I’d ever listen to. He’s doing better materialist analysis than most left wing folks. However he is definitely a lib, rarely hear him utter the word imperialism, which is disappointing. He also has dismissed socialism, which, if he had more respect for the anti-imperialist struggle going on in the developing world in 20th century, he would be more reticent to do.
darkpsychicenergy@reddit
Not even remotely close and what a pathetic attempt at rebuttal.
bipolarearthovershot@reddit
Better to be a lib than a conservatard
escapefromburlington@reddit (OP)
They’re not as far apart as you’d think, as Biden and Harris proved, as soulless bugmen like Ezra Klein prove
faithOver@reddit
He addresses that every once in a while.
Tall_Pizza562@reddit
Now I understand why I am so fat. I thought I was eating 2000 calories per day when I was eating close to 200,000 calories.
Interesting watch
flriverlivin@reddit
It will be incredibly quiet outside, people will be able to see all the stars at night.

This is really Nate Hagen's moment. Here are YouTube links to the first and second in the series.
