Hey, what do you think? I have this submachine gun made in Mexico. It's a .22 caliber, single shot and burst fire. The thing is, it's made in three pieces (the barrel is attached to the receiver where the mechanism is located, and the receiver is attached to the wooden stock). The problem is, the barrel is held in place by two holes in the receiver. I've already welded one of them, the part where the screw from the receiver to the barrel locks in place, since it moves and doesn't allow it to fire more than three or four rounds in burst. I was thinking of drilling an extra hole at the bottom and inserting a small tap to add an extra screw to the receiver, and at the same time, fix the screw at the top where the receiver is attached to the barrel. But what do you think? Give me some ideas, please.

I don't have any diagrams for this, and I can't take it apart because it has a very large spring that's press-fit and held in place by a single bolt. I don't have a spring compressor, and I'm not going to risk disassembling it piece by piece. Sorry.
