12 fighters one fighter from each country of the world.

I wanted that game so bad... one kucky day my mom went to the store to get it and I was over the moon. I ripped it out the packaging just to realize the cartridge did not fit into my SNES. turns out for some reason they sold her the NTSC version, whilst in EU we had the PAL version of the console. I was devestated. probably my mom too, because she had to go buy an adapter...

STF alpha was my fav Street Fighter of all time.
Gimedecash@reddit
lol as soon as I saw the pic I heard the music too.

character select slaps, but only guile's theme goes with everything.
theloop82@reddit
Guile’s theme is going to be studied like Bach hundreds of years from now. Ryu slaps too
TheMeticulousNinja@reddit
It started playing in my head as soon as I saw this screenshot

If you're a dork for SF2, I can't recommend this documentary enough. It covers EVERYTHING.

When i was 13 I got so good on the Genesis version against the computer, I then had my ego shattered when I played at the arcade against this guy who kicked my ass. I thought he was so much older than me, in reality he was probably only like 15 LOL.

I'll always remember trying to hurry up and make a player choice before time ran out and it selected one for me.

I still sometimes say the word "Perfect" in the way the Street Fighter 2 announcer did when I approve of something.

The day I finally beat M. Bison will be a day I will never forget!
One-Earth9294@reddit
I'm surprised I don't because I played the fuck out of that one.
Now Shadowrun... I have the whole soundtrack to that game lodged in my brain forever.
Mike9797@reddit
Shadowrun was the only game that forced us to call the Nintendo tip hotline for help. Once we got the tip and past the bottleneck the game was a lot easier. But the snes version of that game was hard for me as a kid.

Japan!!
PlagueDrWily@reddit
The whole soundtrack is seared into my memory; I was terrible at the arcade version but absolutely lethal with an SNES controller.
onion4everyoccasion@reddit
I could beat the arcade game entirely with one quarter (with Blanca), however when it came out on Nintendo I was baffled and useless

I have subsequently tried it at those bars that have old school arcade games and I have lost the talent
ManiacRichX@reddit
I hear that, it's brutal on the hands now

when i was a kid, i was convinced the game fucking cheated and none of my friends ever believed me. it wasn't until years later that i received my VINDICATION!
fuck you danny lol
ManiacRichX@reddit
yup, most of our arcade games cheated us out of quarters. i still play this every once in a while on my SNES Classic, still fun with friends.
chrisdecaf@reddit
That and in real life when I play it.

Yes, except I had World Warrior and couldn't play as a nerfed boss. 💀
