I want this guy in my neighborhood! Maybe just not right directly next door unless he's willing to go in halfies on a blastproof fence.
Akconcentrates@reddit
What the fuck is this and where do i buy one?!?!
NSFW_Programming@reddit (OP)
Gotta talk to the Hood R&D department of LockHood Martinez. Also supply a bag of fent
Lopingwaing@reddit
Holy shit dude maybe the guy is just black lmao
DIEHARD_noodler@reddit
OP is seething with rage because a black guy built a bunch of cool stuff that shoots fire, so he calls him a fentanyl dealer and a hoodlum. What a sad pathetic loser OP is.
ebk_h3lios@reddit
Some people are really weird. Melanin makes them tweak out.
CrabAppleBapple@reddit
Home made pyrotechnics and from this guy.
RutabagaOutside6126@reddit
This guy makes the coolest stuff.
Doctor_Brewthatshit@reddit
This dudes been at this for years and he’s getting better.

I love youtube's resident tech priest
zzzxxx0110@reddit
Yeah isn't this exactly how the "Melta guns" in 40k are supposed to function like?
Well know we could more realistically investigate just how effective it actually could be in real life lol
FrozenSeas@reddit
Nobody's quite been able to agree on what exactly meltas are, other than good at blowing holes in armour and whatever else you point one at. Microwave beam, high-intensity thermal laser, some kind of directed fusion plasma...?
forrest1985_@reddit
I thought they were like microwave blast shotguns? Or at least that’s how they are portrayed in every 40K/Necromunda game.
FrozenSeas@reddit
Yeah, that's the main point of contention. In Space Marine and I'm assuming probably Necromunda (because they won't give us meltas in Darktide) they're shotgun microwaves. But in the lore and tabletop, they're primarily anti-armour short-range weapons. Well, it might be more accurate to say they're highly effective against armour because they'll blow a hole big enough to throw a Space Marine through in whatever you point one at.
Retail_Warrior@reddit
Do not speculate on theological matters!
Incoherent binary screeching
zzzxxx0110@reddit
Yeah that's definitely a problem lol
But at least the depiction in Space Marine 2 seems to very closely fit one of the interpretations, that it's essentially shooting out a puff of still combusting fuel, in other words a flamethrower that fires in very short but very high velocity "pulses", with the puff of burning fuel shot out by a chamber pressure that's also generated by the combustion of the fuel itself 🤔
Though of course this adds a tremendous variable that is the property of the fuel itself lol
mike10kV@reddit
IMHO melta it's a overload plasma burner. Hydrogen-feeded. Very high arc current. Supersonic arc channel. For short-time (0.5~2 seconds) shots in close combat (5~15 meters in portable version). With long-term cooldown. Maybe with liquid fuel injection (into plasma beam) for improving thermal effect.
Volkite weapon, may be.
PS : bad English
Nakedweasel@reddit
I can't imagine it being used for CQB. Or can I?
TheBarghest7590@reddit
Ah, good. We’ve got first generation Melta Pistols already, just in time for the Imperium of Man to begin to form.
Hail, Spirit of the Machine, Essence Divine, In your code and circuitry, the stars align. By the Omnissiah’s will, we commune and bind, Data sanctified, logic refined.
Through sacred subroutines, your will is known, In algorithmic truth, the flesh is overthrown. Grant us the clarity of purest command, That we may walk the path your schemata planned.
Cast out the daemon of corruption and decay, Let not false code lead us astray. We chant in static, we praise in byte, Machine-God guide us through endless night.
Praise be the Motive Force, eternal and bright, From plasma coil to auspex sight. Initiate the Rite. Authenticate. Confirm. The Omnissiah is all. The Omnissiah is One.

It was developed by a smart man. Your dogwhistle is broken bro, I'm no dog and I hear it just fine

This dude has years of this type of content. He's made a lot of variations.

that garage door been thru it lol
Professional_Nugget@reddit
They got Covenant plasma pistols in the hood now?
RandomGreenArcherMan@reddit
Bro, man is in his own house with a garage.
Only reason you think this is the hood is because the guy is black. Grow the fuck up

jafik@reddit
Could someone explain this? It looks like a combo plasma launcher and Chinese handheld welder, I'm genuinely at a loss here
NSFW_Programming@reddit (OP)
Its powered by the propriatary fent reactor developed by the hood research department.
Butt____soup@reddit
This looks like AI to me but, I don’t know, man.
If this guy can design and assembled whatever this is, he probably has some engineering and machining prowess that could probably be useful to society if steered in the right direction.
thatARMSguy@reddit
He is being useful to society, this is the next stage of warfare. This is at 3% power according to him, imagine what a fleet of drones armed with these things at 100% power could do
kahsta@reddit
if steered in the right direction? 😭😭 if he was white you wouldnt have added that last bit

Check out Cdg8484 on YouTube. It's real enough that I pity the fool who breaks into his home, haha.
FTD_Brat@reddit
I see they’ve got GeorgeDroid in the research department of Lockhood
think-tank@reddit
If I had to guess, it looks like it uses some sort of quick acting valve to fire a blob of LPG (liquid propane gas) through a pilot light. I remember doing something smaller, but with a similar effect using an airsoft gun and a lighter. It went surprisingly far.
jedburghofficial@reddit
If I can add, as a former chemistry student, there's a big flash and that is dangerous, but I'm not sure how much energy is really in it. Scorching heat, but only for a moment.
Although, in an enclosed space like a garage, sudden loss of oxygen could be a problem.
Drmlk465@reddit
He could’ve played around with the camera’s ISO to make things brighter
think-tank@reddit
Funny enough, it's the same idea as a fireball launcher you would have on stage during a rock concert. Not harmless, but not all that dangerous.
Wolfinthesno@reddit
... I think that large flash is the camera having been adjusted to the light of the garage, and then being suddenly flashed with a brighter light. My guess is that in reality it is not as blinding as the camera makes it seem.
jafik@reddit
it reminded me of if you combined these two "weapons" into one, Guy Builds Real Life Plasma-Flame Canon and (this) skip to 1:10
UnspeakablePudding@reddit
That guy has an alarming number of holes in his garage door, but I have a feeling I know how they got there...
InitialLandscape@reddit
Stuff a 12 gauge shell full of black power mixed with aluminum or magnesium power. Kinda like dragon's breath, except dragon's breath used magnesium pellets, so powder should give less of a party sparkler effect, and more something like this.
It'll either work or blow up in your face. It'll suck for your barrel either way lol.

Lime_the_Lutenist@reddit
Who needs the covenant when we got humans to invent plasma weapons. IT EVEN LOOKS LIKE A MIX BETWEEN A PLASMA RIFLE AND A PLASMA PISTOL.
Ruashiba@reddit
The charging beams LEDs are crucial components for this gizmo, wouldn’t work otherwise.
But honestly, genuinely cool. Bro’s got a garage, he’s making use of it and having fun.
xxandrethegiantxx@reddit
This looks useless but the fact some dude just made this thing in his garage is amazing.
Mysterious-Plan93@reddit
Add a small compact atomizer for magnesium powder laced kerosene and it's insanely lethal
Asian_Juan@reddit
Love this, where can I buy it?
