Yes I can find photos of me as a teenager.
No I'm not sharing any.
Social media sites that don't charge you to yse them make their money from data harvesting.

Early 80s, late 70s? Or midwest? That's NOT how HS kids looked in California
IamtherealMelKnee@reddit
I'm from California and this looks exactly like my high school in the early 80s.
SnowblindAlbino@reddit
That is 100% how most people in my yearbook looked from 1981-1985, but I was certainly not in California-- just a small town where people tried to dress like they saw on TV, but had to buy their clothes at Sears, JC Penney, and K-Mart.
R67H@reddit
The thing I'm tracking most is the hair. Like... I don't think I even remember seeing anyone with most of the hair when I was in HS. The hairstyles give "older siblings/young uncle or aunt" vibes, here. Like the older kids who would always tell us to shut up and don't tell the parents vibes. Kinda your age, actually, because I'm an 87 grad
SnowblindAlbino@reddit
Every one of those hairstyles was on display in my HS, and are in the yearbook. I'm a couple of years older than you, but things didn't change that much. Perhaps a regional or class (i.e. socio-economic class) difference.
R67H@reddit
Oh, 100%. Our little community was highly influenced by SoCal beach culture, so that's what we got. The styles in the piece were present in the late 70s, but disappeared pretty quickly before I hit HS. And once MTV got hold of our brains, we were cooked. We were highly susceptible to marketing and pop culture, apparently.

Yes exactly this. I’m class of ‘88. For 4 years (7th to 10th grade) I lived in Pittsburgh. My parents were Fed government employees. They didn’t make a lot of money. My mom had to buy my clothes in Kmart, Sears, and JC Penney’s so that I could look like the other kids in my school. I didn’t have a variety of styles. I just wore the concert tshirts, jeans, Reebok high tops with Velcro enclosures, and Levi’s denim trucker jackets. I had the long straight hair. My last 2 years of high school, my father got a promotion and was transferred overseas to the other side of the planet. I attended an American school there, and the only difference was everyone (girls and boys) wore the penny loafers with the jeans and jeans jackets instead of the sneakers. But by then, brand names became more important. We wore Gap, Benetton, J Crew, etc

Can confirm.

Id say 1982ish Indiana def looked like this
Stubborn_Strawberry@reddit
No, but I have my nursing school grad photo. I was 20. The HAIR!
JuJu_Wirehead@reddit
So glad I graduated in 94.
ONROSREPUS@reddit
The big bangs era for the girls and mullets or wave bangs for the fella's.
JuJu_Wirehead@reddit
Not in SoCal.
XdraketungstenX@reddit
So did I but that still doesn’t mean I didn’t look like a dork (and still do).
JuJu_Wirehead@reddit
Did you grow up in Southern California?
XdraketungstenX@reddit
Nope. Indiana.

Mammoth_Ad_483@reddit
94 in da house!!
Altruistic_Fondant38@reddit
1983..18 years old

1979: Farrah hair on the girls, long hair on the boys, including me. And the day I took my senior photo it was really windy heading to the photo studio where we had to go. I tried to fix it but it came out bad and I wish I could've deleted myself from the yearbook.
VarietySuspicious106@reddit
1989 here. Feathered hair, Big Bangs, and The Mullet were all in full force.
AZPeakBagger@reddit
I graduated in 1985 and these look like the pics from my freshman yearbook. 1982 was the tail end of the "Dazed & Confused" era and the seniors that year were about the last full class of Baby Boomers. Two years later the senior pics in our yearbook looked dramatically different. It was rare for anyone to still have the center part Farah Fawcett inspired hair cut.
YouMustBeJoking888@reddit
OMG - this is my cousin's high school! I thought I recognized one of the people so just sent it to her and yep, this is her high school year book. How random.
Wander_Globe@reddit
Me in the middle. Mom on the left and Wayne on the right, who I had just smoke some hash with prior to the grad ceremony. :)
88secret@reddit
These pics would fit right in with my HS yearbook. Pretty sure I graduated with the girl on the left. Mid 80s Atlanta, so older GenXers.
SnowblindAlbino@reddit
Yikes. I think if I pasted 90% of those into my 1983 yearbook from high school nobody would notice the difference. The rightmost one in OP's photo here actually looks a fair bit like my girlfriend in 1984 actually.
These are my people, no question about it.
Fluid_Anywhere_7015@reddit
I wish I couldn’t.
happycj@reddit
Dang. 13 years of spam from one account. That’s actually an achievement, OP!
edked@reddit
I thought it would look cool to wear an ascot instead of a regular tie in mine. God, what a fucking tool.
R67H@reddit
I hope you've gotten better
GrayMalchin@reddit
Nice try, NSA. You already have my mugshot. Not one more picture.
MonolithsDimensions@reddit
Yes, I looked 12.
PahzTakesPhotos@reddit
My hair was longer, but yes.
My senior photo is in one of those family photo frames with my husband's senior photo and our kids'.
yarn_slinger@reddit
Can confirm, I looked like the girl on the left but was wearing a tweed blazer and had a massive zit on my chin.
dstarpro@reddit
All the Beckys with the good hair were mean girls.
Fragrant-Anywhere489@reddit
I feel like I know all three of those people.
