CETME Classic Rifle- Paddle Mag Release. The CETME Classic Rifle is made using an original Spanish Cetme parts kit coupled with a new US receiver & barrel and built by the skilled Southern Tactical team. The receiver is made with original German HK tooling & HK spec steel thickness. This model features a paddle mag release. The barrel is a U.S. made Cetme C Nitride treated and threaded 5/8X24 & can fit a wide variety of muzzle devices and suppressors. These barrels have a 12 fluted chamber, are 18 inches long and are 1 in 10 twist.The wood has been cleaned and treated with linseed oil and shows great character adding to the unique appeal of this piece. This rifle has a nice parkerized finish. Original Spanish Cetme markings have been added to the left side of the receiver to complete the package. The rifle uses the Spanish military trigger group modified to semi auto to maintain originality. These rifles work best with excellent condition CETME Magazines, worn out Cetme mags or G3 mags may not perform well. Comes with (1) Cetme 20rd magazine with US made Floor-plate for 922r compliance. Each rifle has been test fired multiple times to ensure function and is backed up by a 1 year Southern Tactical warranty.

Built from CETME C (Spanish) parts instead of G3 ones, so a different receiver pattern (flat side vs ribbed, purely cosmetic) and rear sight. They technically-but-not-really share magazines but they'll shoot exactly the same.

Yeah buy guns from the shitty company that gets on reddit to argue with customers pointing out the defects in their products. Guessing it was the owner, but one of them was on a VZ 61 thread arguing and being snarky to people that were discussing their QC issues and out of spec receivers like an absolute child. You need a press, a welder, some other misc tools and the skills. I did mine for $250 but I have access to the aforementioned things and saved money by getting a one use 3D printed press jig and mandrel. If you have a friend who has a press and can weld you could get it done. Plenty of instructions out there on places like Weapons Guild.

I'm not willing to violate federal law and build an illegal firearm to save 100 bucks, and I'm not going to advise others do so.
This one for sale is already 922r compliant, so it wouldn't be a fair comparison for me to not include it in pricing things out.

Ya fair, I ain’t buying one of these in spotter config ever after shooting like 4 rounds from one.
But 922r really gonna be hard for anyone to prove, and over the last 15 years I haven’t seen it even been tried. You’d need to be some ass like committing two crimes at once and have something obvious and obscure. They aren’t checking ejector springs, etc.
Anyway, agreed not an issue I would want to face but that is called risk (I don’t face this issue, so probability is extra low), and I am not folding and welding any HK reciever over having someone do it right.

Print the jig for $20. Also that’s not the correct flat. That’s a G3 flat. Yes there is a difference. Also no one has been charged with a 922r violation unless there are other charges. Individuals don’t usually follow it. I’m an FFL. I do. It’s like shouldering an arm brace. It’s only illegal if you piss of an atf agent and get caught.

Sure, you can print one if you have a 3d printer. I wouldn't count a printer as a "misc tool" though since they will cost as much/more than a press or welder.
I'm aware that its not the "correct" one, but nobody currently has a cetme one in stock. The magwell is a little different, but they are interchangeable if you aren't trying to make a perfect replica.
922R does apply to individuals and I'm not willing to build and own an illegal firearm. Even if you remove those parts, I still calling BS on the poster saying they built one for $250. I don't think it was ever possible to get a parts kit, flat, weldment kit, and jig for under $350 IF you buy a jig like they said they did.

You can buy a parts kit sans a receiver. Then you’d buy a receiver “flat”, use a jig to bend it, weld it. I wish I had the tools / skills to make build one myself.

If anything it would be based on the HK33, the 93 was a later civilian market version of the 33. The 33 is a reduced size version of the G3 chambered in 5.56. Also, the asset file is called G3AssultRifle.nif, the G3 did have wooden furniture where the 33 and derivatives thereof never did. The G3 is actually a copy of this gun the CETME 58.

I don’t know about this, but my CA3 is awesome. Picked it up last year from Atlantic for $650 which seemed like a great price for what you get. Not sure what the market is like now, but $800 is probably the top of what I would pay for one

You can bend the receiver from flats and a 3D printed jig yourself but you'll need to be able to TIG weld to do one properly, havent heard they're that difficult. Parts kits are cheap ($200-250) and now even come with barrels.
