Affordable Plastic Surgeon for Body Lift - DFW

Looking for a plastic surgeon to do a body lift after weight loss surgery 5 years ago (focusing on tummy tuck & breast augmentation). North Texas Plastic Surgery was my first call, and they estimated nearly $34K for a mommy makeover. I guess I'm behind the times when it comes to pricing, because I DID NOT expect it to be that much! Can anyone recommend a surgeon you were pleased with in $20K range (I'm not willing to leave the country)? I have another consultation at Tarrant Plastic Surgery, but was hoping to get other's opinions before having to make ENDLESS consultation appointments.

Ugh. Don’t get elective procedures if you cannot afford it. That’s actually good price depending on what you get. If you get 360 lipo, that’s a lot of work tacked on top of a tummy tuck or any kind of weight loss skin excision.
And here is the thing; a “body lift” to a lay person can mean different things.

Oh, did I give the impression that I couldn’t afford it? I’m not interested in paying more just to pay more - that doesn’t really make any sense? If I wanted cheap, I would’ve just gone to Mexico already. Not trying to find Real Housewives prices, not trying to find strip mall prices. I just want a nice comfortable price in between.

My wife just got overhauled at UTSW. It’s very reasonable if you go with cash price. She stayed overnight and her recovery has been flawless so far. This was for a tummy tuck, min lipo, breast lift and implants. So not a trivial procedure.

Why aren’t you willing to go out of the country if you’re looking for a cheaper option?

I just feel more comfortable doing it in the U.S. I speak the language, I understand the healthcare system, and I don’t have to travel before/after surgery. Also, I’m not going to lie, seeing horror stories of plastic surgery abroad definitely scare me (even if they’re minimal). If I can’t do it in the U.S. from a reputable surgeon for less than $35K, then it just wasn’t meant to be. 🤷🏻♀️

Fair enough but the places you can do surgery "tourism" to are some of the best and at a fraction of the price.
You're not going to a Tijuana clinic in some old automotive shop or a vets office lol. They're insanely clean and you can vet the docs just like you can here.

Because its major surgery and people dont want to travel while sliced open.
Dental work is different much easier to travel after procedure.
Mommy makeovers have you in bed barely moving for a long ass time. I cant imagine traveling like that.

I looked up some places in Mexico that do mommy makeovers. One of them looked state of the art and REALLY nice, but I still just didn’t feel super comfortable. Reviews show that it was not that much cheaper than the U.S. (definitely cheaper, but not life-altering cheaper). I also looked into Türkiye (I know it’s a hotspot for plastic surgery), but I definitely don’t feel comfortable there.

Did you do a consult with one of the surgeons under the fellow program at North Texas Plastic? For some procedures they offer fellow pricing with the surgeons in that program and it is more affordable. I learned about it from someone on here and then called to inquire. You can read more about it on their website. Not the same procedure, but I am getting a mommy makeover in May and with fellow pricing it's around 16k.

I did not know they had that option, but I will definitely ask them about it. I did see DPSI Fellowship when doing research, but I wasn’t sure if I should steer clear of that or not.

You might try UTSW, but you’d likely have to allow a Resident to do the surgery to get that level of price. Across DFW most surgeons are competitively priced.

i want a brachioplasty so bad i’m saving up for one, im also curious abt pricing though! I seen ppl travel and im unsure how to research it lol

Do it in Mexico (safe places of course) I went with a friend bc her husband couldn’t take her, and a mommy makeover: BBL, Lipo, cost total 10k. It wasn’t that bad. She had to stay overnight at the hospital just for doctors to monitor her. Then she would do post op follow-ups on tele med.

Sorry forgot to add, she even got a labia plasty too
