I give AMD the edge for efficiency and multitasking

Do you know what jokes are?
HappyAffirmative@reddit
Yes. Why? What's the point of your question?
StructureLiving3823@reddit (OP)
That was a rhetorical question.

AMD, intel has been having issues for years
Bright-Wallaby-3050@reddit
The intel 7800x3d and the ryzen 4070 is the best combo to build a gaming pc. No questions asked
Sea_Bite2082@reddit
overall = AMD. Specifically - x3d AMD. They are just fastest CPUs for gaming, this is it.
badtlc4@reddit
both are great for Linux. AMD probably has a sizable lead for budget gamers.

Cyrix is the best. Duh.

I refuse to believe posts like these are anything more than bots farming for data for ai.
TheLastGame_EXE@reddit
AMD by far
Front_Society1353@reddit
Gaming = Amd x3d significantly higher fps Productivity = Depends on use case. AMD 9950x3d most of time
Value for money = Intel looking pretty good with new gen
HappyNeighborhood911@reddit
Intel if you are making a build that needs to be low power at idle, amd for pure performance. In a gaming build whatever is cheaper for you makes more sense. (including socket)
BrotalityREAL@reddit
It depends on exactly what you're doing but lately it's been AMD in nearly all categories:
AMD has better thermal management, higher clock speeds, and more cores. It's the same reason they now completely dominate the modern server architecture market - Intel's server CPUs just cannot compete with AMD'S Epyc line anymore.
Intel has been horribly mismanaged since before the pandemic, and they're trying to make a recovery and I sure hope they do. Up until the pandemic I would've died for Intel but now, I refuse to use Intel.
Potw0rek@reddit
Depends on the criteria.
pacmanic@reddit
AMD is better except in the cases where Intel is better.
protomartyrdom@reddit
What is the use case?

There isn’t a one size fits all. Pick the right tool for the job and budget.
