Any genuinely good breakfast places?

I have thoroughly enjoyed ascension coffees breakfast potatoes quality, coffee , and steak bowl always nice to have breakfast there with the constant updates to the menu. I have so far liked xaman but it is expensive considering the food portion and slight decrease in quality. I dont particularly like places like snooze an am eatery or eggdaddy genuinely feels like something is off or just the seasoning and recipes dont have that good breakfast feel to me.

I tried Original Market Diner for the first time recently. Swear to god, that fake maple syrup tasted like hot dog water to me.

These are all our spots.

Oh man, I used to be able to walk to Lucky's. Miss that place a ton. Definitely great b'fast

plenty of fantastic indian restaurants serve breakfast now. mostly in frisco and irving area. amazing idli, vada, dosa, sambhar and coffee to finish it off
iknowkungfoo@reddit
Breakfast Brothers at The Shops at RedBird is insanely good. It’s a small place, so there’s often a line.

First Watch hands down

I like Crickles in Oak Lawn area.

NORMAS
Yourface1837@reddit
Lucky's off oak lawn!!! They use locally sourced ingredients and it's one of the best breakfasts I've had in Dallas! They get busy, so I'd try to pop in on a slower day or just be prepared to wait 10 minutes. They are worth it tho.
LittleSubject9904@reddit
Maple Leaf Diner is fantastic.
CatteNappe@reddit
Our favorite breakfast spot is Oasis Cafe on Greenville Ave. Old article, but not that much has changed:

It's just about the only place I've been in that manages to get the hash browns crunchy and toasty, but not burned and not dripping with grease. They've ruined me for hash browns tried in breakfast places all over the country.
Sowf_Paw@reddit
Cindi's Delicatessen has a wonderful breakfast menu and they serve it all day.
Oasis on Greenville has great pancakes, omelettes and migas.
If you find yourself in Grand Prairie, Outlaws Barbecue on Belt Line just north of Pioneer Parkway is kind of okay barbecue but they have a fantastic breakfast, honestly.
Mammoth-Ad6463@reddit
Mijas Tacos has the best breakfast burritos
MidnightVibora@reddit
Old West Cafe is a banger to me
Uniblazed@reddit
I love the breakfast burrito and bowl from All Day Tribal café on Bishop

They’re now in Plano (used to be in Dallas) but we make the drive to go to Crossroads Diner. Soooo good! Excellent pancakes, frittatas, sticky buns.
Emergency_Basket_851@reddit
I'm glad to see they're back. They closed during covid for a couple years

Low-Department8271@reddit
Oops! I was thinking 'Maple Bacon' in Plano was 'Maple Leaf Diner' and place I was thinking in Dallas was 'Cafe'.
You want Maple Leaf Diner at 12817 Preston Rd #129, Dallas, TX 75230

+1 for Garden Cafe - they def know how to season their food
Corner Market has the best breakfast burrito in Dallas imo, and I’ve heard good things about their other breakfast items
For something on the fancier/expensive end, Beverley’s is another good option for tasty food plus nice (strong) cocktails

Am/Fm in the design district is absolutely incredible, but they don’t open until 11. Food will blow your mind though
supavillan@reddit
Hilarious to have AM in your name but open at 11 lmao
Dawnzarelli@reddit
It’s a music venue. So it actually makes perfect sense.
dfwfoodcritic@reddit
9am on weekends, and I think they might be planning to be open all day eventually, maybe in a month or two?
Psychonaut_Cmdr@reddit
My favorite breakfast spot is El Jordan Cafe. Nothing fancy, but it’s solid.
Dawnzarelli@reddit
Yessss. Solid indeed. The folks that run it are SO friendly. And they keep your coffee full. Their food is such a good deal. I love the breakfast plates and burritos.

AwHellNawFetaCheese@reddit
There really isn’t a bad thing on the menu and I’m pretty sure I’ve tried everything on it at least once.

Cafe Brazil off 75 never disappoints. Bubba's in Snyder plaza as well.
Oasis Cafe is also a great cash only spot.
TexasBaconMan@reddit
There are multiple off 75
whiplash_7641@reddit (OP)
Tried the cafe brazil on bishop the coffee was a cool idea but couldnt really get into the breakfast menu there or the quality might give this one a go
AndMyHotPie@reddit
Cafe Brazil there across from SMU is consistently excellent. For some reason the one closer to me in Carrollton is super hit or miss
Also for OP recommend Dream Cafe on Mockingbird
Boomer-Zoomer@reddit
Jonathons off of Beckley Ave is excellent
_Blitzer@reddit
There's a second one at Forest and the Tollway too. Haven't been there yet, but very eager to give it a go!
posdof@reddit
It’s very good. John is at that one a lot. It’s our favorite place to go for breakfast.

Nope, in all of DFW there isn't a single place that does a passable breakfast.

Tthe last thing I want to do after waking up is go sit in a place with a bunch of strangers and eat food. I don't understand the appeal behind it.

Jonathon's Diner in Oak Cliff and Jonathon's Forestwood — still affordable enough to go multiple times a week. Massive portions, chef operated.

Ascension Cafe usually does it for me
Distinct_Reality5860@reddit
Johnathon’s. I haven’t been in years but think it’s still good
Brassanthe@reddit
McRae's in East Dallas has a fabulous brunch menu. Plus they have a bloody Mary bar.
