I dont know how reliable they are, ive never shot one but ill go all the way with Beryl. I think its in the military for a reason.
eat_ass_FXCKDRAKE69@reddit
True, I served with it until it was replaced with the MSBS, still miss it even though I can't complain about the new rifle
kahsta@reddit
its that good? im gonna snag one once they hit the states
aDeadPidgeon@reddit
Beryl 100%
Tw3lv33@reddit
Galil and Sig SG553/553R
KasseusRawr@reddit
whichever is one that's in Battlefield 4? that one
GoldfishDude@reddit
The Beryl optics rail is bad ass, give me that
p0l4r1@reddit
Galil ace probably
ApprehensivePilot3@reddit
Good old RK62 and it's modern varians such as M, M2 and M3.
Jack_547@reddit
Beryl. When i was over in Poland I saw a ton of them, alongside some soldiers carrying Tantals, AKMS', and various other strangely out of place weapons. They seemed to have a good reputation, and of all the 5.56 AKs they'd probably be my first pick. Plus they can still mount a 6X4 Bayonet so automatic cool points.
The Galil ARM is pretty cool too, but I don't know if they'd qualify as "modern."
ShibeMate@reddit
RPK-74M
TheIronPaladin1@reddit
Valmet. Best one.
DrZedex@reddit
Unpopular opinion: an AR in 7.62x39
RepresentativeFig270@reddit (OP)
So… MK47 Mutant?
DrZedex@reddit
Yeah, that's an option too.
historyeeter@reddit
No AK15? the real AK in X39?
SkyTalez@reddit
Malyuk is made on AK platform. I believe
CanadianLanBoy@reddit
Galil ace is technically the best but it's god-aweful ugly so I'm going with RK62M3
GenericUsername817@reddit
Beryl
kahsta@reddit
all day
Dorntech@reddit
CAA AK-Alpha
Taguysy@reddit
I would go with Malyuk/Vulkan-M with a lot of cool features.
Also Zastava M19 quite interesting.
MR_No0dle@reddit
The SIG 553, Rolex of AK's.
moritz9@reddit
came to say 553R
jason_houn@reddit
I lean heavily into the Galil ACE.
till-0807@reddit
Same here, it’s a modernized version of probably one of the best ARs ever made. Can’t go wrong with a galil
jason_houn@reddit
It’s essentially the same AK platform deep down, but with a lot of quality of life features.
till-0807@reddit
Yeah, it’s just great all around. Heck i think nato should’ve gone with the galil over the AR platform
jason_houn@reddit
Yeah, that wouldn’t go over well with the American MIC. Also, the Galil ACE isn’t as adaptable as an AR-15.
Osama-bin-sexy@reddit
I’m gunna catch hate for this, but the AK-12 or Beryl. I’ve just seen way too many longevity issues with ACES. The AK-12 is a failure of its original design intent, but it’s pretty much the most modern variation of an AK without serious modification to Kalashnikovs original design.
leumasci@reddit
AN-94
Ok I know it’s not technically an AK, but it smells like one.
AKMike99@reddit
Anything can smell like an AK if you bathe it in cosmoline
AKMike99@reddit
The ACE is going to be the best
Ambidextrous safety and improved ergonomics
Durable milled receiver
Battle proven in 5.56x56, 7.62x39, 7.62x51
But any of these options will serve the user well.
Tsar_Romanov@reddit
RK95
Oltsutism@reddit
Any of the three variants of RK62M is a much more modern and ergonomic rifle.
Free-Engineering6759@reddit
Depends on what is "best". RK95 is heavy, especially front heavy due to the skeleton stock. The tightening screw is annoying for fast disassembly. It isn't as accurate (although it's a minor concern as it still shoots 1-2 MOA) as RK62. Did I say it's heavy? RK62 is a crowbar, but RK95 is beefed up for the folding mechanism. Which nobody uses as the rifle is barely shootable when stock folded and when it's on your back, with folded stock it wants to move around.
Only positive thing is the simplified rear sight. RK62 is lighter and more balanced. But still too damn heavy.
Matti_Meikalainen@reddit
Correct
fendtrian@reddit
Due to inaccessibility anything that is under embargo so probably the galil
MotherEntrepreneur33@reddit
RK62M3 or any other RK62 variant (i guess Rk95 counts too)
justaheatattack@reddit
the cheapest one.
I ain't buying 10,000 of em for thier looks.
JustSomeGuyMedia@reddit
Ace with STANAG mags, imo.
Yes it’s a little ugly gut aesthetics weren’t a requirement.
RedSonja_@reddit
RK95
Ill_Interest_2346@reddit
The best right now has to be the serbian M70
