I'm not usually a sweets person but had a craving for something sweet today. Had some sourdough bread from the Amish store that I needed to use up so bread pudding seemed a good fit.

Made a custard from half & half, maple syrup, eggs and a touch of sugar. Tore the bread into pieces and soaked them in the custard. Into a buttered baking dish and baked until golden brown. Served with maple glaze. Was just what I needed to satisfy my sweet craving.
