Adobe Acrobat/Reader multiple instances not closing etc.

I'm getting multiple reports in the past few weeks of full Adobe, or Reader, seeming to stop opening files. Many instances are "hung" in the background. Have I missed an issue being tracked? Is this a case of switching to classic Adobe for a while? Rebooting fixes it for a while.

At my worplace I did notice indeed quite a few calls about this. Users should be able to just kill the acrobat.exe processes to make it work again, without need to reboot.

I've seen this happen a few times, and in each case a reinstall of Acrobat resolved it (in our case, we have users uninstall and reinstall through the Creative Cloud app).

Yeah that's my next option thanks.

I am not what might be the issue, but check this out. Disable javascript for users

Yeah I've had a reg key in place for a few years to stop that.
