Fianxiang 1TB SSD. Worth it?

The SSD in my refurbished thinkpad completely died a couple of days ago. Luckily I keep most of my important data in a seperate HDD so it was just Windows and some programs that I lost.
Repair guy has quoted £165 to replace it and is suggesting Fanxiang. What are peoples experiences with this brand? Is it a good deal or should I ask for something higher range? For context I lightly game and use various music softwares.

It's a legit ssd but don't expect for it to last too long.

I got the 4TB gen4 SSD from them last year for around £150.
No issues so far and speeds match the advertised speeds.

Nice, thanks

It's a low tier ssd. Why don't you just replace it yourself...It's literally just a couple of screws?

You raise a fair point

The cost of the FanXiang S880 itself would be £123.
Brand does not really matter. The S880 is quite good (with TLC flash), and good value for money.
For your applications, even a Gen3 drive like the Timetec 35TTFP6PCIE would be enough, but the repair guy would not want to have such outdated hardware lying around.

Good to know, thanks
