Who’s got the link for the cheapest threaded 10/22
Vijaywada@reddit (OP)
Any model ?
Rjsmith5@reddit
FYI - these are incredibly light. They feel like holding my old Daisy pellet rifle.
caterham09@reddit
3.5lb rifle. With the bx trigger and a threaded barrel. This is imo the best 10/22 available right now
Much_Profit8494@reddit
Just FYI: Every 10/22 model now comes with a BX-trigger. - Even the $199 "standard" model.
OldMachineCraft@reddit
The new models (32000 series sku's) look really good. If there aren't quality issues, the base models are a no brainer for $200-300.
The new "standard" stock is also basically just a Ruger factory clone of the MOE stock.
toxicity69@reddit
I'm throwing in the Takedown version as the coolest/most novel stock 10/22 (that isn't some crazy 3rd party chassis), as it breaks in half for backpack carry and it also is extremely light. And, personally I'd skip the Ruger BX trigger and go for a Volquartsen trigger instead (can get clearance versions for cheaper on their website sometimes for like $80-100). The VQ trigger in my 10/22 has something like a 2-2.5 lb pull weight with almost no take-up, so it is extremely spammable (which is great with .22LR).
DexterBotwin@reddit
Is the carbon fiber stock why this double the usual 10/22?
DaggerOutlaw@reddit
Pretty sure it’s just a custom color Magpul MOE stock? You’re paying for the carbon fiber barrel.
DexterBotwin@reddit
Carbon fiber barrel? Dang. Didn’t know we were doing that
YouArentReallyThere@reddit
Bergara has the same thing with better accuracy. I went with the Bergara
Rjsmith5@reddit
Eh, they’re different enough to sway a lot of people one way or the other. The Bergara is 1.25 lbs heavier than this, roughly $100 more, and the Bergara is more set up for long range shooting (has a 30 MOA rail standard). It’s the same concept, but I’d say the execution is different enough that most people would probably prefer one over the other depending on what you want to do with it.
Having held both, the weight is the biggest thing to me. The Bergara feels light for a bull barreled gun. This feels light for an actual gun.
brucekilkenney@reddit
Yup. Still has a steel liner on the inside but the majority of the barrel volume is carbon fiber.
It's really light and kinda cool. On a lot of center-fire rifle too
Smart_Ad_1997@reddit
The only carbon fiber is the barrel. It’s just a magpul stock with custom paint speckles.
Purple_Season_5136@reddit
I couldn't believe it when I picked one up at scheels. Stupid light
Rjsmith5@reddit
I played with one at my LGS. Someone bought a fairly large scope to put on one and the balance was thrown WAY off. You essentially had to balance the gun so that the weight distribution of the scope wasn’t too far to one side or the gun tried to roll.
perrierpapi@reddit
I want to get a 10/22 in the safe, what model should I be looking at for a rucking/plinking gun?
Vijaywada@reddit (OP)
Check my other deal from morning. 219$
9guy99@reddit
Is this a deal? Im fairly certain these are $549 everyday at Scheels.
Vijaywada@reddit (OP)
Those are old versions. This is upgraded version.
Subpoena-Colada@reddit
What is upgraded?
Vijaywada@reddit (OP)
There are two carbon versions. Anything with 32xxx series is the latest version with bx trigger/auto release bolt/upgraded receiver ..few other things.
Old_MI_Runner@reddit
A friend bought a Carbon Fiber 10/22 last year and it included the BX trigger. I know the BX trigger was added to all the new models this year including base models but I think the Carbon Fiber already included the BX trigger last year.
Vijaywada@reddit (OP)
Yes. Bx trigger came standard.
Much_Profit8494@reddit
Can confirm.
I bought mine when the CF model first came out last year. - It does not have the new rear cleaning port or the automatic bolt release.
The one my dad picked up last week did come with both of those new features.
Not really a big deal IMO. - But people should be aware that most of the "deals" suddenly appearing on this gun are places trying to clear out the old model.
aceman1011@reddit
BX trigger, extended mag release, and I've heard an updated receiver?
https://ruger.com/products/1022CarbonFiber/specSheets/32014.html
Vijaywada@reddit (OP)
Just found a better deal in comments on guns.com
AshingiiAshuaa@reddit
Why wouldn't you post a link to the deal then? Or are you just trying to drive traffic to guns.com?
altstateofmind99@reddit
According to firearmdatalab, this is basically the all-time low, but I'm no expert. Just using the tools at hand :-) https://firearmdatalab.com/product/ruger-1022-carbon-fiber-22-lr-16-tb-10rd-semi-auto-rifle-speckled-blac/
That said, in for one as I've been planning to upgrade my 10/22 setup for a long time and this was just the nudge I needed. Because threaded!
TraditionalLock1800@reddit
They were about $450 a few months ago
aceman1011@reddit
Wholesale distributor pricing is $450 and MSRP is $680, so I think the new models are unlikely to drop that low for a while I think. I'm guessing they were clearing out the older version.
9guy99@reddit
I will say they seem like a really nice version of the 10/22, and its on my short list of desired guns.
The_Longest_Shot@reddit
No
Mindless-Direction60@reddit
Yes, they are $549 at Scheels, so no it’s not a deal.
Go_Blue_@reddit
$436 + tax, free ship from guns.com https://www.guns.com/firearms/p/ruger-10-22?i=630291
gdc-1@reddit
Sorry! Looks like we had a single dealer who had it listed at that price and it sold. Someone got it at that price, though. If you keep this in your favorites you can get notifications on price changes. Chances are if one had it at this price others could list them for similar later. We always show the lowest price our dealers with that UPC are offering as the price and one that gets fulfilled when purchasing.
Vijaywada@reddit (OP)
Hello I was that person who purchased it, but my order is now cancelled ! 1673xxx
Big_Q_Numero_Uno@reddit
So you weren’t the one person that got it if cancelled?
Vijaywada@reddit (OP)
They cancelled my order ..lol
traderncc1701e@reddit
oof
Go_Blue_@reddit
Classic guns.com antics
john_connor_T1000@reddit
Im seeing $558 in cart
Vijaywada@reddit (OP)
I was able to place order for 435 ..Hopefully they dint cancel my order.
john_connor_T1000@reddit
Good luck!
Vijaywada@reddit (OP)
They did cancel
CharmingRemove725@reddit
They definitely changed the price. I was about to checkout but the price switched.
john_connor_T1000@reddit
Damn. I would have snagged it at that price
axana1@reddit
Showing up as $556 for me
Vijaywada@reddit (OP)
Was able to place order with 435 shipped
axana1@reddit
Great deal to snag while you could I suppose!
Vijaywada@reddit (OP)
Yup this is a way better deal on 3204 version.
TheMoves@reddit
Yes it's threaded
RotaryJihad@reddit
Does it take Glock mags?
ccagan@reddit
If you put a Glock sticker on a BX mag, then sure!
BlizzardOwO@reddit
ITS THREADED
steveosaurus@reddit
what’s the threadcount tho?
toxicity69@reddit
At least 1, I reckon.
misternt@reddit
Throw a red dot on this and starting shooting steel challenge competitions. The low weight will help you transition between targets quickly.
caterham09@reddit
This is literally the regular price at all my local FFL
Vijaywada@reddit (OP)
For the 2026 model too ? They are hardly in stock. The old carbon models, yes.
caterham09@reddit
What's even the difference between them?
esit@reddit
trigger
caterham09@reddit
The previous one had the bx trigger as well?
esit@reddit
Oh, i didn't know that. In that case i don't think there's difference.
-space-grass-@reddit
The new model includes an auto bolt release and a cleaning hole in the back of the receiver.
ruggedrazor17@reddit
How accurate are these?
Old_MI_Runner@reddit
A friend bought a 10/22 Carbon Fiber last year. He lost interest in shooting it at the range once he found out how much better the precision is on his CZ 457 MTR. He went on to buy the At-One and Hunter models too. He brings all three CZ 457 rifles to the range on every trip while the Carbon Fiber stay homes. 99.9% of the rounds he shoots are bulk ammo with most of that being Federal Champion and Automatch over the last 6+ months.
clicktoseemyfetishes@reddit
Will be getting rid of both my Ruger precision rifles for one CZ 457 in the near future. The difference is immense between those and the CZ let alone a factory 10/22
Old_MI_Runner@reddit
My friend started with a Ruger Precision Rimfire, then the CZ 457 MTR and a 10/22 Carbon Fiber. His last two purchases were the 457 At-On and Hunter Veil. He shoots his three CZ 457 rifles once or week or more. I think it has been 6 months or longer since he shot his 10/22 and Ruger Precision Rimfire.
clicktoseemyfetishes@reddit
Yep hoping I can pay for an MTR by selling both RPRRs. Still pissed they discontinued the Jaguar before I could get my hands on one lol
Brotherly_shove@reddit
Literally no more or less accurate than a standard 10/22. aka, "ok".
you can build a far more accurate 1022 by replacing the barrel on a basic bitch 10/22, and be well under this price.
majesticnoodl@reddit
Oo what barrel? I have Magpul stock 10/22
Brotherly_shove@reddit
come pal around over on r/1022. there are several options. honestly basically ANY aftermarket barrel will be a better barrel than OEM.
if you are sticking with the cheaper end to keep you under this price but more accurate... acculite or summit precision. and then personally id skip the bx and spend more on an actual good trigger. bx is only considered good compared to the standard 1022 trigger... which is like saying a recycling can better than a trash can.
clicktoseemyfetishes@reddit
Interesting that I’ve never heard of Acculite but they’ve clearly been around for a minute. Was looking at GMM or Shaw for a 10/22 barrel. Any experience or secondhand anecdotes on the Acculites?
toxicity69@reddit
Yep. By all accounts I've read, the Ruger BX trigger, while better than the stock 10/22 trigger (not hard to do lol), leaves a lot on the table compared to other options like Volquartsen and Tandemkross, etc..
Personally, I went with the VQ HP Action Kit in my 10/22 Takedown (I got it in their clearance section for $80), and that trigger is nice. Short take-up, short reset, and it has a 2-2.5 lb pull weight, which makes the gun so spammable.
Brotherly_shove@reddit
whats worse about it is the qc is really terrible. so you might get a good one, you might get one that really sucks.
i miss brimstone. they were my go-to trigger for my 1022s. im about to do a new build and im bummed i wont be able to use them.
toxicity69@reddit
Never heard of that brand myself. I never forayed into the /r/1022 sub, but some cursory research led to the VQ trigger purchase, and I've been extremely happy with it. I only have 1 tricked-out 10/22 Takedown (I don't think there's 1 stock internal part anymore), and I don't have any plans for other builds lol.
Brotherly_shove@reddit
not so much a brand. it was a dude that you could send your trigger into and they would do 3 different tiers of mods to your trigger..
toxicity69@reddit
Ohhhh. Yeah, shows what I know lol
LetUsLaunchOverIt@reddit
This got me 😂
majesticnoodl@reddit
Awesome, do most of those aftermarket barrels come in threaded varieties?
Vijaywada@reddit (OP)
They are sub inch at 50 yards with ELY long range.
ruggedrazor17@reddit
Nice
Old_MI_Runner@reddit
My friend can get sub inch at 50 yards with bulk Federal ammo with 7 CPR Federal bulk ammo with his CZ 457 At-One.
EternalGandhi@reddit
Very. I put a Votext Venom on mine and it's great out to 50yrds
Much_Profit8494@reddit
FYI: There appears to be two different sku's for this gun.
The started making these in 2025 before Ruger revamped the entire 10/22 line. (Every 10/22 now comes equipped with a BX-trigger, a new rear cleaning port, and a auto bolt release.)
I found a smoking deal on one last week, and turns out it was the older model. - It does not have the new rear cleaning port or the bolt release.
Not a big deal, but just letting people know that if you see a deal pop up on this gun it's almost certainly places trying to clear out the older model.
SiameseShartShooter@reddit
What are everyone's thoughts on this vs the CF takedown with the backpacker stock for $550?
Excellent_Map_3510@reddit
I don’t have a 22lr yet. But I was thinking of the 2026 Ruger 10/22 basic entry . Can’t suppress because of state. Or a smith Wesson Fpc 22 LR. Any opinions?
Vijaywada@reddit (OP)
Get this carbon version..and call it a day . These are threaded though ! Or a tippman elite.
Bingomancometh@reddit
Aside from the barrel, is anything special about the stock and action, or just an moe stock, drop in trigger and Ruger receiver ?
Bingomancometh@reddit
Ie: can I build this with an integral suppressed barrel
TaliesinsEnd@reddit
Yep. https://volquartsen.com/departments/barrels-for-1022/products/1445-vanquish-22-integrally-suppressed-10-22-barrel
SteedOfTheDeid@reddit
Out of stock :(
TaliesinsEnd@reddit
https://angstadtarms.com/product/vanquish-suppressed-ruger-10-22-barrel/
SteedOfTheDeid@reddit
Oh dang very nice! Might have to snag this. Somehow integrally suppressed is just way cooler
caterham09@reddit
You can, but there's no reason to buy this one if you are going to put an integral suppressed barrel on it. You're better off with a cheaper model then.
EternalGandhi@reddit
Comes with the BX Trigger, you can pull the bolt back to release it instead of having to press the little button by the trigger guard. It was an extended mag release which for me is one of the low key best things about it.
I love mine.
9guy99@reddit
They come with the upgraded BX trigger.
I have not shot one, but handling them at the store. I really liked the rifle. It's significantly lighter than the more expensive Bergara carbon fiber 10/22 copy.
Warm_Objective4162@reddit
Standard 10/22 parts. The stock and barrel are just extremely light.
DisasterDesigner8134@reddit
Real question..what's the attraction to these over just getting a solid AR15 22?
cyclorphan@reddit
big money big money big money
no whammies no whammies no whammies
STOP
Java_The_Script@reddit
Anybody with a good bit of experience with 22lr platforms able to weight in on expected accuracy differences between ruger 10/22, tikka t1x, and Cz varmint pro? Been looking at getting one of the three for my first 22lr.
Usual_Safety@reddit
Ruger riding the 10/22 all the way to the bank
ListenToTheThock@reddit
Damn, I wish it was the takedown version of this!
