Do you have any pets?
If not; Indorex every carpeted surface after a thorough hoovering and fog bomb the affected rooms, allowing for them to air out lest you poison yourself.
If you do have pets I'd probably just fog the rooms and allow extra time before you let them back in.

i dont ever let them in ..

A high concentration of ozone should kill them, but won't kill any eggs. You can get large ozone generators on a well known online retail site for a reasonable price. You can't be in the same room as it when it's in operation, or for several hours after. And the room should be sealed; windows and air vents closed, and door cracks blocked or sealed. And obviously remove anything living that you care for, like plants or pets. But this is the cheapest way I can think of to "fumigate" your living spaces.
The larger the pest the higher the concentration (dose) of ozone needed to be effective. Bacteria, viruses and mold need relatively low concentration. Something like rats or mice are probably too large to actually kill with ozone, but could be flushed out and discouraged. Clothes moths and carpet beetles would need a relatively high concentration, and it doesn't affect the eggs afaik.
There's plenty of info online about this, so research it if it interests you.

Diatomaceous earth will help. Shreds the up and dehydrates them.

Take off and nuke the site from orbit.
It's the only way to be sure.

Crawling insect spray around the edges of the infected rooms and around any areas they might be hiding in. Vacuum regularly and keep your floors as clear as possible.

I haven’t tried it before but I’ve heard really good things about diatomaceous earth. I think you’re meant to use it like how you would shake n vac but hoover first then leave sprinkle it all over the infested areas and leave it to sit a few hours/overnight/a couple days. I don’t think the period of time is too significant in resolving the issue but hopefully someone will correct me if I’m wrong. You then hoover it up and keep repeating it until they don’t come back.

works a treat for ants.

And fleas (if you have dogs or cats) but you need to make sure you get food grade and try not to inhale it. It's also good internally (for pets) for worms. I use it in the garden pots for slugs too.

If you’ve got any pet beds then they love those, do them on a sixty or if your washer has a anti-mite setting use that. Dust and hoover as much as possible. They get in so easily, even if you have pets they hitchhike in on them. Every time you see one kill it and get rid and make sure to clean your hoover out properly.

Carpet beetles are basically the squatters of the insect world. You think you've evicted them with a bit of hoovering, and then three months later they're back, eating your favorite wool jumper like it's a 5-star buffet. Honestly, at this point, you might as well just charge them rent. If you're serious about 'annihilation', you need to check every nook, cranny, and forgotten cardboard box. They love a good dusty corner more than a Victorian ghost does. It's a war of attrition, so may the force (and the moth spray) be with you.

Any chance you can find another Japanese beetle that dabbles in experimental singing/wailing, that could drive a rift between them and break them up? They might go their separate ways then.
