UEFA fined Red Star Belgrade a total of €95,500 following a February 2026 Europa League match against Lille, for displaying an Orthodox Christian icon. On the other hand, the display of demonic figures are perfectly fine... What is your opinion on this?

Glory to Satan🤘🏻😑
Itchy-Quit-9807@reddit
Wait how do you fine a club, who pays?
desideriux@reddit
Red Star wasn’t fined for this banner but for slur chanting
srlandand@reddit
Yes, UEFA even said it wasn’t because of Saint Simeon. Also, the devil banner is in German Cup, not international competition.

thanks for the info! love seeing christian conspiracy theories crumble
oipoi@reddit
That ain't Saint Simeon nor a saint at all.
darvinvolt@reddit
would you look at that, turns out there's more to the story than what the meme shows
RedditSuckslol84@reddit
Didnt really care about this whole thing but literally everything i saw about red star being harmed was because they raised a saint during the game. Seems like it was the classical victim mentality and the regime bots at work lmao.
Atlandios000@reddit
Man let me ask you. What's the name of the saint ? I'm pretty confident my mom has his icon.
desideriux@reddit
It’s Saint Sava
Stverghame@reddit
It's not. It is Sveti Simeon, his father.
AlexNachtigall247@reddit
Does he have a special connection to Red Star or the city of Belgrade? Genuinely curious.
Stverghame@reddit
Not that I know specifically.
He is the founder of the most important medieval dynasty, so it is probably for broad patriotic reasons rather than Belgrade/Red Star specific ones.
AlexNachtigall247@reddit
Ok thank you.

But that doesn't support the made narrative that the evil west keeps attacking christian values.
ricketycricket1995@reddit
It was both the banner with the saint and the Fuck Uefa.
Two of those combined contributed to the 40k penalty. Rest of it was for different reasons.

Oh thats very condescending for fuck. You can just say UEFA and its already a slur
Oxo181@reddit
No bro i clearly remember them saying Belgrade was fined ONLY for displaying a picture of Jesus because UEFA hates Christ our lord and everything that's good in this world.

freek_@reddit
Youre whats wrong with society, thats like saying Cesar or Alexander the great didnt exist
oyMarcel@reddit
I don't deny jesus existed, but he was just a dude who walked around. Definitely not the "son of god" lmfao
freek_@reddit
No you just said "fictional".
Believer or not all historians agree Jesus was real.
Stop pretending you said otherwise.
oyMarcel@reddit
Jesus as represented by religious fanatics is fictional yes. The random guy who named himself Jesus and started a cult in the Roman empire was real

freek_@reddit
Damn are you two really THE representation of Romania?
Hes saying Jesus is a made up icon for propaganda reasons.
Special-Remove-3294@reddit
And he is right. At most Jesus was some random pleb in the Roman Republic who had a cult. No such thing as magic or gods. Just fairytales lol.
Julius Ceasar is an actual politican and general of the Roman Republic.
freek_@reddit
The are more records about Jesus and his work than there is about Cesar and his.. believer or not he said "fictional".
Special-Remove-3294@reddit
Fair. Jesus did exist but saying he is more recorded then Ceasar is insane. We have books written by Caesar that survived to this day and his political activity is extremely well recorded.
freek_@reddit
No it isnt, ignorance is bliss. Keep living in it.
Special-Remove-3294@reddit
The delusion of religious cultists will never not be funny. Geniuaely crazy how some people can get indoctrinated into some stupid fairytale and defend it their whole life.
Ceasar is more known then Jesus lol. Show 1 book worried by Jesus or by someone who was contemporary with him that mention him. One single one. Fun fact there are none.
freek_@reddit
Nothing I say or show you will prove me right. Youre here to argue because of your deep disbelief of facts and not to debate. Hope your life gets better.
dorobica@reddit

Holy low iq comment. You did not even understand what I wrote lol. I asked for books written by or about him written by people who lived in the same era as him and met him lol. A book written 1000 yesrs after he died by one of his cultists is worthless. Show a book written by someone who met Jesus in person or recorded his deeds while he was still alive. Show 1 single one. I will wait.
And thanks for caring about me :) . My life is actually pretty good rn and has been for a while and getting better. Gonna say the same to you cause I hope all religious cultists see reason one day.
Also inagine using AI as a source lmaoooo
freek_@reddit
Books isnt evidence.
History isnt evidence.
Eyewitnessing isnt evidence.
Im dumb and brainwashed and youre smart.
Special-Remove-3294@reddit
Are you low iq? Legit.
What eyewitness? Show a book where someone says they meet Jesus in the flesh.
What books? Name a single book written by a contemporary of Jesus. Do you know a contemporary even is?
History? Well the fun thing about history is that if one knows anything about it is that they would know that the closer the time of the creation of the historical source is to the thing it talks about the more valuable it is. Books written by someone>books written about someone by his contemporaries>books written about someone after his death. Ceasar has books written by him still alive. Jesus only has writings aboht him long after his death.
tallguy998@reddit
Source?
freek_@reddit
tallguy998@reddit
Your source is chatgpt? Cute. Also, that question is redundant. That is not proof that Jesus did anything supernatural. Most texts about him arent even from people who lived at the same time as him. I agree that he probably existed, but more that that is just speculation, without actual proof of his miracles.
freek_@reddit
Chat gpt is just a summary of sources, like google.
If that isnt enough no individual source will be because you question everything.
tallguy998@reddit
Why would it be enough? The majority of sources are not official or from people who actually lived at the same time and saw him and his miracles. Even if that was the case, that would not prove anything. It would just prove that he likely existed.
Dont you question every other religion on this planet? Dead or alive?
freek_@reddit
Its always good to question everything. My point was you doubt religion more than anything else.
tallguy998@reddit
I doubt extraordinary claims with no evidence more than anything.
freek_@reddit
Fantastic, lets say Newton wasnt born, you would doubt gravity? So you only believe it because he wrote it in textbook.
Flawless logic
tallguy998@reddit
What difference would it make if Newton (a normal guy) wasnt born? Gravity is still here, measurable and visible with the right tools. I dont believe Jesus was doing miracles and resurrected because these things are not verifiable and were never proved by scientific method.
Jesus was mentioned in the Qur'an, do you also believe it?
freek_@reddit
No brother , I don't believe a pdf file that came 500 years after Jesus because he said so.
Well the Shroud of Turin is literal proof of Jesus existing and yet you will still doubt his existance.
tallguy998@reddit
I was asking you if you believe what they say about Jesus in the Qur'an. They say that he was real, but just a prophet.
Can you walk me through your thought process regarding this shroud? I just can't see how it it literal proof of jesus.
dorobica@reddit
Point to one source that is not the New Testament then
freek_@reddit
What a reduntant statement
dorobica@reddit
so you say there are more records about jesus and his work than there are about caesar and when asked for these records you say it's redundant? spot on christian logic

MandatoryEST@reddit
This is reddit, of course thats going to happen. It's full of atheists and assholes. Historical existence of Jesus is proven beyond any doubts.
tallguy998@reddit
Is it? Even if it is, how can we be sure he was gods son and did miracles and rose from the dead?
MandatoryEST@reddit
It is. Im talking strictly about historical existence of Jesus as a being. Look it up. Im not talking about the deity aspect.
tallguy998@reddit
In that case, yes, i do agree
Mysterious-Put1459@reddit
Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't deity core to his character. Without deity, Jesus is just a preacher who got sentenced by the clerks
omfilwy@reddit
Devil = not used as a religious figure but a mascot
Jesus = a religuous figure
If the entire nation were satanists then they would not be allowed to display satan either, but this is not such case
PetrichorDude@reddit
The second image is not Jesus, but a king turned monk, later sanctified…its a bit of a stretch to say people “believe in him” in a religious sense
NoRelease5392@reddit
Yeah, us Christians see him as a saint but even for an atheist he is an important figure in Serbian culture
OkaySaur@reddit
Nobody is seeing that and going "yeah that's a king turned monk" come on
omfilwy@reddit
My bad, thought it was Jesus! Religious figure nevertheless then
PetrichorDude@reddit
Very strictly speaking yes, but no regular person venerates this kind of saint, its a specific thing
Vanpet1993@reddit
Where did this "devil" you speak of come from? Must be some tv show or something? Definitely not a religion...
VeryLazyEngineeer@reddit
Mesopotamia and ancient Greece.
Vanpet1993@reddit
Not the same thing, yet still based on ancient religions, so my point stands
VeryLazyEngineeer@reddit
It's literally where they come from.
Daemon is from greek and mesopotaamian mythology, just like Christianity and judeism themselves.
Vanpet1993@reddit
Well if you want to go into details daemons are spirits that doesn't have to be malicious, while demons always are. This still doesn't change my point, it's based on religion as well, so no different then showing Orthodox Christianity saints...
Ok_Win8049@reddit
You know exactly and they mean. Outside of nutjob satanists, who really uses the devil in a serious religious manner? And besides, if some of the fans had put up banner with Arabic text, half the posters would be losing their shit here.
Vanpet1993@reddit
Like they are losing their minds because people put Jesus on? :D Im not even religious, I'm just saying that it's ironic that devil in any shape or form is not considered religious symbol when it originally came from a religion...
hgaben90@reddit
Yeah, and when Chris Pontius showed up in California in a devil costume and protested saying "Keep God out of California" that was so religiously motivated too /s
Ok_Tackle225@reddit
Devil is religious related and offensive.
There's no such thing in the rules ''if the entire nation''...
Only these on the stadium matter and their actions. Religious, political or ideological messages are prohibited. Devil and satanism is religion related and ideological.
Decent-Wheel3566@reddit
where do u see Jesus?))
SoftwareSource@reddit
This is just blatantly false, they were not fined for the Orthodox Christian icon, just google it.
Grounds4TheSubstain@reddit
This is propaganda. They were not fined for displaying Orthodox imagery, but rather, a banner that said "Fuck UEFA": https://www.ewtnnews.com/world/europe/uefa-denies-religious-imagery-link-in-red-star-belgrade-fine-a
Whoever made this meme put it together to push a false narrative that religion is being persecuted, and does not think you're intelligent enough to look up the facts for yourself. And judging by the number of upvotes on this post, they're correct. They put it together so you can feel like you "did your own research" despite taking someone else's word for it.

SiRaDa77@reddit
Satanists never brutalised masses but Christian cultists did.
eucalyptus-d@reddit
From a Christian perspective, everyone who brutalises masses is in effect a satanist even if they themselves think they are good Christians. Satanism has no fundamental issue with brutalising. Christianity has. And someone who believes in Christ can serve Satan. Satan believes in Christ.

The tifo is made by the fans of 1. FC Kaiserslautern, their nickname is The Red Devils. It should be from the DFB-Pokal final as a 2nd division team, so it was a huge deal for them, hence why a huge tifo.
Sneaky-Pur@reddit
Just for the sake of balance: so if a team is named “the devil Slayer” or “human’s redemption”, the 2nd photo would be allowed ?

I guess according to UEFA’s rules you‘d have to portray a human without any religious context to slay the devil.
It isn‘t a valid comparison anyway, one competition is sanctioned by the DFB, the German federation, the other is sanctioned by UEFA.
VeryLazyEngineeer@reddit
Probably not, you'd need to be called the thing you portray.
In this case, the red devil is a red devil poster.
NFTGChicken@reddit
The Tifo in the picture above was in a league match against Düsseldorf. They also had a devil Tifo in the cup finale holding the cup.

Christhegreek1@reddit (OP)

Sneaky-Pur@reddit
Because you punish display of “the good “ part of a religion but not the the “bad part”

It's the same as people wearing crosses for fashion and not because they actually believe in Christ. In fact there's an amount of people who view Christ as a prophet and not a god . So , we are just making assumptions.
jurassiclynx@reddit
The first i think is from FC Kaiserslautern, whos nickname is the red devils. but its fair to say that they push the line with provocations in depicting the devil, wich ofcourse can upset people. but all in all it is not in violation.
ComfortableParty2933@reddit
Satanism is a religious movement.
jurassiclynx@reddit
yes but the choreography was in context of their nickname.
ComfortableParty2933@reddit
So if their nickname was 'saints' they will be allowed to show posters of christian saints or a 'crusaders' can show the cross?
jurassiclynx@reddit
their nickname is not saints but the red devils so theres that. why argue about such hypotheticals? do you just wish to be offended? it was not a religious tifo…Real Madrid had a cross in their logo for decades, but removed it for middle eastern markets and investors. no one ever complained when they had it on their flags. when england, finnland, denmark, sweden or norway plays, the stadium is full of saints crosses too. but thats just their flag. or the portuguese logo on the chest? yep, not in violation either. had kaiserslautern supporters written something like "may satan come" or whatever satanists say, it would be a different story.

It just so happens that nations where Christians are a majority, are usually "cultural Christians", so they don't bother with whom other people worship. On the other hand, in countries where the majority of Christians are serios about their religion, other Christians who aren't part of that particular Christian denomination, are marginalized and persecuted by their fellow Christians for not being the "true Christians". So, of course "Christians" are the most persecuted group, as they are persecuted not only by authoritarian governments but also by their fellow "brother in Christ."

First image is some random-ass imp like beast football fans use as their mascot to look tough. It has no significance, no political sway, no nothing. Call it a demon if you wish, it's just a funny mascot. A lot of media uses demons as evil entity, football fans do it, too. This isn't glorification, it literally shows a fantasy beast that's supposed to look tough and bad.
Second image is a religious statement. It's basically football fans plastering their religion worldwide. Religion is a real thing, Christ was a real person. No doubt about that. The religion isn't inappropriate, but promoting it through football in such a sly manner is inappropriate.

Honestly nobody should be banned/fined for these things. Football outside of the field is the most boring sport ever with most boring athletes. Almost all of them have no personality and I don't blame them because as soon as they say something unpopular they get banned/fined etc. Football press conferences are the most boring thing ever. Every interview is boring as hell. I love Messi he is the GOAT of the sport but at least Ronaldo is somewhat entertaining with his personality and that personality is the reason why people still compare them. Nobody would care for Ronaldo these days if it wasn't for his goofy interviews and videos. Ibrahimovic is another great example. Great player, tons of personality and doesn't care what others think of him.
Fans putting these posters and stuff also should be completely okay in my opinion. I really don't see why not. Who even cares. If the opponent team gets triggered, who cares? I will always be all for free speech and if a saint is a part of their culture I don't see why they shouldn't be able to do it. Same goes with islam and other religious or whatever groups. It makes it look more raw and cool and personal. Fining clubs for that is lame.
I'd only ban/fine teams if their fans throw shit on the field or if they behave like monkeys and destroy stadiums and similar.
I've been watching the UFC alongside football for about 10 years and press conferences and interviews are so much better and more entertaining when there is a storyline. If there was beef and controversies between more clubs and trash talk it would make it so much more entertaining. Imagine if Arteta came out and said "Sporting are dogshit we're gonna bash them easily" the match would have been more entertaining and I'd my hyped more.

Satan is actually based and does not force anything to the people.
Burlotier@reddit
Satan wants, me and every human to become puppets and to start a rebellion against God for a second time . He curses you for your downfall .
You can see that there isn’t an actual demon hierarchy but a power based order that continually oppresses itself .
SonrieAlaVida@reddit
Burlotier@reddit
, if you object say so . You can talk with a priest if you have any doubts or questions.
SonrieAlaVida@reddit
My father is a priest bro I know everything about these stuff, he's a good human being but he's a human being, just like imam's don't lie to their kids I don't think he's lying to me either, you're just all delusional together
Burlotier@reddit
Then ask him again “does Satan want the downfall of every human and hates God’s creation? Is the antichrist an attempt to make the gates of hell prevail and make God give mercy to it without forgiveness ? Are the demons disloyal to each other and there is chaos in the demon hierarchy with only a vague structure due to the ontological authority of Satan as the one who rebelled first?”
SonrieAlaVida@reddit
How exactly would he know the answers to those questions? Who would tell him that? Can you prove somehow that Satan wants the downfall of every human and hates God's creations? Can you even prove that God greated anyone? If God and Satan exists how do you know its your God and your Satan, how do you know Satan isn't the one you believe in? How do you know that God and Satan try to communicate with humans even? We are not even the super majority in our planet, we are just the most intelligent, this world wasn't created for you specifically, you aren't the center of the universe.
You just believe what you believe because you want to, if any religion had any proof about anything there wouldn't be other religions.
Burlotier@reddit
Try to doubt enough and you won’t be able to know if you smell with your nose, hear with your ear and see with your eyes.
You know the faith is true if it produces fruits and Christianity produced hospitals , introduced equality and child rights with many more inventions. As for miracle the Holy fire is a miracle that thousands see and can test . I did the same movements in both holy fire and regular fire and got nasty burns from regular fire . I don’t care if you believe me but this miracle is real and continued despite numerous enemy forces occupying Jerusalem .
Since your father is a priest he should know or at least seek the answers to the questions that the church already answers
SonrieAlaVida@reddit
Christianity did not produce hospitals, Christians did, humans, just like muslims produced hospitals, Al Zahrawi was a muslim and the pioneer of surgical precedures that eventually saved lives, he didn't do that because he was a muslim, he did it because he was incredible.
The teachings of Christ being morally good doesn't equate to him being a god, he was talking to his father constantly who if you consider the old testament was the devil himself, countless killings in the old testament but you Christians only like to cherry pick the new testament like everything changed with Christ and his father on the old testament isn't God.
Buddhists are also morally correct, Shintoists as well, it doesn't mean that their religion is the correct one, same thing applies to your religion.
The church is nothing but a tool to control the population. Normal priests probably believe in their teachings, the higher you go in the ladder the more corrupted people you see.
Burlotier@reddit
Christianity produced hospitals , God through the faith guided them to build infrastructure to help other humans and this grace and influence spread everywhere, including the Muslims.
The teachings of Christ show the way and what you consider “morally good” is Christian thinking and lessons . To a Babylonian it would be morally good to sacrifice children and babies and that is because the religion came from foul spirits.
Bhudists and the other religions aren’t correct despite giving temporary delusion of calmness as they are ontologically ,logically and scientifically false . Everything points to Christ hence the various miracles and prophecies such as of Saint kosmas aitolos and Saint paisios coming to fruition .
In this very period we will soon see the miracle of the Holy fire .
I can’t change your opinion , not because of lack of evidence but because you ,from what you show, don’t want to consider the possibility .
If you were hurt from someone close and felt betrayed then talk with someone you are safe with and a priest and muster the strength to forgive them so the burden is lifted off .
SonrieAlaVida@reddit
ok bro you are not on planet earth, there is nothing that could be said to you, you are the one claiming god exists I don't have the burden of proof, claiming that god guided people to build infastructure with absolutely 0 proof of that, disregarding the morality of other religions because it doesn't fit your narrative that christianity is the absolute morally good religion, also with absolutely no proof, you're just gasping to fit everything into your narrow minded view of the world

AmbivalentCvckfvcker@reddit
>actual demon hierarchy but a power based order that continually oppresses itself .
Yeah, just like all Orthodox and Catholic churches do.
Burlotier@reddit
Study the structure of orthodox Christianity before you form an opinion and ask a priest your questions and doubts
AmbivalentCvckfvcker@reddit
I did.
Burlotier@reddit
Then what did the priest tell you and what were your findings to support your claims?
AmbivalentCvckfvcker@reddit
Asking the priest for guidance is like asking the barber if you need a haircut. Everything he says will introduce doubt in your mind, with the goal of creating dependence on another who supposedly is "wiser" or "knows", but rarely has any idea beyond what the propaganda has taught him.
And yes, by your own admission, "structure of orthodox Christianity" implies hierarchy. Every structure is built on power, especially the Orthodox Church. No priest can open his own church without the blessing of the higher-ups in said country. They're all eating and full of shit, starting from the archbishops who govern, down to the ordinary priests who take their indications from them.
In Romania we call them "Satana in sutana", which means "Satan in a cassock/gown". Driving around in BMW and Mercedes, taking exorbitant fees for weddings and other rituals, while the poor people starve and kiss their feet. God's chosen my ass. These are the real devils. Satan, by comparison, never told or forced anyone to do anything. Only the Christians will tell you of hell, if you refuse to do what the shitty book says.
Burlotier@reddit
It is not dependance but communion and teamwork with the Holy.
I am sorry for the corruption in the country , I myself am from Greece . This corruption is introduced by evil to struggle us and start thinking like him . Instead we should let Christ guide us and the Church teach us with the dogma and tradition and then become lighthouses in the darkness .
In truth, as I have been also taught by science, the most free and stable state of existence is when the object flows with reality and reduces commotion . Our bodies crumble when something that causes commotion apears (cancer) .
Satan wanted to be the source and have all power to itself as it thinks it is superior and thus working with “low ranks” (angels) or have to help “inferior monstrous creations” (humans) seems to him as a burden , so it created the delusion of “freeing itself” by struggling its presence from existence .
When you are “dependent” on God you are actually more free than if you were “free” since you let your instincts and sins kill yourself .

FIFA said many times they are not political organizations but you know they very much are
Football on the global level is way more than just sport, football fans subculture, countries literally started wars because of football, it's very social thing and religion is also part of it(players pray to God when they scores goals etc)
so why they want to ban religion, it's unnecessary, I dont really care about devil tifo, its part of coreo, that's cool
Christhegreek1@reddit (OP)
Totally agree with your point of view!
silverTensei@reddit
Based. Get that religious shit outta here
Deformed_Toe@reddit
One has a confirmed history of inciting hate, violence and war. The other is just a demon.
shogunlazo@reddit
Because one is a political message
Burlotier@reddit
The devil is indeed a figure that has direct connections with elites , which is why they push for normalisation or worship . Christ is apolitical and equalises all of the elite with the “peasants” .
shogunlazo@reddit
Christ is not apolitical, not in mainstream Christianity... If it was you'd have christians welcoming migrants going against the Epstein class, going against the banks ... They literally do the opposite on all those things and they will even use Christ as a way of "being better" then the others
Burlotier@reddit
I am referring to orthodox Christianity where it shows the truth. Mainstream “Christianity” is not part of the body of the Church and has the same canonicity as paganism or atheism .
The rest rest you said has to do about people making their choices without Christ in mind . Would it be fair to claim that a handbook isn’t truthful and is false if you never picked up the handbook or you ignored its instructions ?
The Pharisees too used God’s image for commercial use and to elevate them in the social ladder for the expense of everyone around them . God warns and rebukes Pharisees and the Church teaches that these people are destroying themselves and distance themselves from God.
If you want more information then talk with a priest
shogunlazo@reddit
Yes and milk is just food yet it became a political right wing symbol
What Christ and the early christians did is irrelevant, what matters is what type of symbol they are today, and they are a symbol of the right (usually the extreme rightwing)
There's a reason why you have even currently in battle the black Jesus flag of Ivan the terrible still being used by putins goons
Burlotier@reddit
Bro , with all due respect you make the subject and conversation political .
Also it is not irrelevant what the early Christian’s did or what Christ said and did since the religion is made on those traditions and teachings.
In modern day the cross is still used as a Christian symbol and the Red Cross uses literally a red cross.
shogunlazo@reddit
A hammer was made for hammering nails it's a tool, if you use it to kill some one it's a weapon and everyone will view it as a weapon ...
It doesn't matter that the hammer was made for hammering nails if you use it to bash someone's head in.
Burlotier@reddit
Christianity guides you to the truth . In your example you should see that the sin is the problem , not the hammer . Everyone will talk about the action , not the hammer, they will see the use of the hammer as the weapon as immoral as it directly and indirectly affected society .
It matters what the hammer was made for . Nukes are banned because they are used to cause mass harm but hammers and nails are allowed because they are building tools.
So even in the example the problem is the sin , not the means the person used to sin .
shogunlazo@reddit
Which truth does it guide to ? Cause throughout history it has guided to many truths ... Why is it that the far right or the extreme right always have their Christianity or their islam ? ... Why doesn't it guide these people away from that ?
Burlotier@reddit
Because Christianity is apolitical but knows when there are demonic teachings disguised as politics . For instance both Nazism and communism are from spirits from hell . Other than that politics are changing constantly and in some places there isn’t even a “right vs left” .
Christianity encourages a brotherly bond between the believers and followers of Christ and condemns anything that tries to break it and stir chaos. This is one of the main reasons it is apolitical
im_not_creative123@reddit
"Satanists" do not believe Satan actually exists, only Christians do
Burlotier@reddit
They do believe satan exists and do sacrifices in its name , the Epstein files are the proof to that claim so it isn’t even a conspiracy.
Lastly both beings are of spiritual and religious nature , thus it shows bias how they excuse a demonic figure’s appearance
im_not_creative123@reddit
There is no such things in the Epstein files
The satanic panic was an example of mass hysteria in 1980s America of people believing in satanic cults and sacrifices. There have been zero documented cases of actual satanic cult sacrifices. The satanic panic was as real as the 2016 killer clown scare.
Also no it's actually not religious, at least not Cristian. All of the depictions of Satan are based on mythological creatures of demons from long extinct religions like Mesopotamias ones.
Burlotier@reddit
Satanic practices are one of the core findings from the files
The satanic panic is irrelevant to the conversation (even if for instance creators from dnd and adventure time in podcasts admitted of experimenting with hallucegenics and inserting occult practices as a “social experiment” in a kids show but it is a different topic)
The depictions of Satan is based on art stemmed from Christian descriptions from the west from the Latin church and are meant to convey the character of satan . Even assuming that it is indeed depiction from extinct religions, it is still a religious iconography of evil.
Ask a priest or spiritual father your questions or doubts.
im_not_creative123@reddit
The depiction in the actual image of this post is not based on Christian theology
Burlotier@reddit
Whether it is based or not exclusively on Christian theology, it still is the same evil and thus should be classified as religious material .
If we want to use the logic you use then the Christ icon is not religious material since a priest didn’t officially bless the icon , thus you unfairly abstract art . The demon also had satanic verses and messages in Latin . So the satan icon deserves to be banned more since it uses more religious characteristics as opposed to the fans forming a Christ icon
im_not_creative123@reddit
Just because you believe the devil exists, does not make it so.

Cropped specifically to not show the Kaiserslautern badge, who are nicknamed "Red Devils" (i assume in german, not english). But regardless, it's about UEFA fines, and the first one is a Bundesliga 2 match. Uefa has had double standards, like allowing Northern Cyprus flags but banning Pallikaridis images from Pafos fans because he's political (he's literally ON their fucking badge). But this isn't one of them. It's just crazy religious propaganda to show Christians as oppressed, pretending we're on the 2nd century AD randomly

eh, demonic imagery isn't really tied to a specific religion so i'd let it pass, there's no real message being portrayed because that isn't an idol. it's just a cool looking demon guy, as opposed to a literal religious idol
