Spotted something interesting at Stuttgart (EDDS) today and wanted to get some insight from the community.

Observed a Boeing 767 in “Patriots” livery arriving from Shannon (EINN). What caught my attention:
•No callsign, route, registration or aircraft details available on Flightradar24 (all fields showing N/A)
•No photo or prior tracking history visible
•Aircraft taxied to and parked on the military apron after landing
Given the routing via Shannon and the complete lack of public tracking data, this strongly suggests a military charter movement.
My assumption would be a US military personnel transport (maybe NATO-related), especially considering Stuttgart’s role with EUCOM/AFRICOM.
Has anyone seen similar movements recently or can confirm the nature of these “Patriots” 767 operations into EDDS? What are your thoughts about this?
Also curious how common it is for these flights to be fully blocked on FR24.
I have video if that helps with identification. (I could also send Photos upon request)
Kineo207@reddit
That is one of two like 767s owned by Robert Kraft, the New England Patriots football team owner.
Te_Luftwaffle@reddit
Pretty apt to have a plane that says "patriots" moving military guys around
Carlito_2112@reddit
Not sure if you're kidding or not. The "Patriots" livery is for the American football team named the New England Patriots.
powerpuffpepper@reddit
To add on, we chartered one of them when my university made it to March madness a few years ago. I have pictures of it as we were boarding
Kineo207@reddit
That’s awesome! Must have been a comfy ride.
powerpuffpepper@reddit
It was basic economy down the entire plane basically lol
DewWhipIt@reddit
I heard they still have ash trays in the seats
boobookittyfuwk@reddit
I wonder then if he has another plane for players because I've seen pictures of one plane and they have massive seats and leg room for the entire plane
Kineo207@reddit
🤣
prospectpico_OG@reddit
I believe Kraft has been known to charter his plane to the US government.

Came to say this
JPAV8R@reddit
Omni Air operates the jet. Omni is one of several US 121 operators who operate jets on DOD contracts. They also operate jets under contract for other entities like… US football teams.
So your instincts seem pretty spot on.
I will say it’s not as uncommon as it may seem. Military charters happen all the time and companies like Omni use it as their bread and butter.
Sea-Present-3969@reddit
Yeah I’ve flown on the Patriot plane many times via government charter.
JPAV8R@reddit
Patriot plane on the patriot rotator is some meta shit
scolbath@reddit
This plane is also used for ICE deportation flights. https://gillianbrockell.com/the-truth-about-ice-and-the-new-england-patriots-jets-go-seahawks/
JPAV8R@reddit
Yes. Omni makes a lot of its money from flying passengers on US government contracts including DHS.
Afraid_Stuff_History@reddit
Beat me to it!
offoutover@reddit
I've actually flown on this plane before as a military charter. It's nothing special on the inside as this plane (out of 2) is apparently for lower ranking team members and crew. The other plane is apparently entirely Business Class and is much newer with better amenities.
If you have the flight number you can look the planes up on a tracker if it is actively flying but they do a good job of maintaining a low profile. The crazy thing its that Atlas Air does military charter flights and they practically advertise it when their planes are in the air.
Shannon is a common refueling stop for Omni charter planes and the best part about that is that the plane gets restocked with Irish snacks like Tayto crisps for example.
As others have said, though, that plane is probably filled with a lot of really bored Joes.

Robert Kraft off to Germany to get a nice rub n tuck from a German maid?
JPAV8R@reddit
I’m interested in what you think the “tuck” part is. r/boneappletea

Didn’t mean to offend buddy. It’s an honest mishearing. Frankly, the need to comment was tugging at my humor strings.
Hot_Maintenance6655@reddit
Nobody understands the tuck rule. I thought we established that years ago
ddadopt@reddit
Well, obviously it's when you get a massage, ask for a happy ending, and she politely declines and "tucks" it out of the way of her doing her job. Similar to the "rub and ARGH" where instead of politely declining she takes understandable offense and bends it in half.

Saw it in Bardufoss a year ago. Pretty cool

i know we stopped in Shannon en route to Afghanistan from North Cackalacky. Can’t remember if we stopped in Bangor first or straight from Pope to Ireland. I know we stopped in Bangor in the way to Iraq.

Fuck the Patriots and their livery.
That is all. Carry on.

Can you tell me what you think of those fellows in Dallas with the big star on their planes?

Seahawks fan here.
I concur.
Fuck those cheating scumbags and their livery.
Practical-Object-827@reddit
Hey, u/Conscious-Peanut3852
The word “patriot” is thrown around a certain way right now. I’ve seen a lot of people mention that this is Bob Kraft’s personal plane but haven’t seen any explicitly say that he owns the American football team, the New England Patriots. That is what it refers to and not that the jet operates for the government or whatever else the description might suggest.
4130Adventures@reddit
Wednesday (or maybe Tuesday) it was in Norfolk so it's probably chartered by the US Government.
Captainrexcody@reddit
When not used by the team, the owner lends it out for other uses
neat_klingon@reddit

BrantGoodleaf@reddit
Ironically, even though they have their own team planes, such as pictured here, the Patriots have scored amongst the lowest in the NFL for team travel. Word is these planes have outdated interiors and are not as comfortable as other teams who charter Delta, Atlas, etc.
AtariFerrariNH@reddit
It is a former AA airplane, and the interior is the same as when it was flying at AA, which was already outdated.

The team plane for the New England Patriots (an American football team). The question is, why is it in Stuttgart?
bavotto@reddit
When you don't win the Superbowl, you get exported to NFL Europe. No tariffs on the way to Europe.
what_the_fuckin_fuck@reddit
*deported. There's a lot of that going around currently.
AlbanianRozzers@reddit
They charter these for a lot of evil govt shit.
ry_mich@reddit
You’re getting downvoted but you’re 100% correct.
Koomsy_410@reddit
Can confirm that it took off from Norfolk Naval Station in Norfolk, VA, USA. I live near the Navy base, looked it up on Flightradar24 and was confused what it was doing here. So yeah was almost definitely a military charter.
danit0ba94@reddit
You don't know what the Patriots are, do you.
grondfoehammer@reddit
Who?
Additional-Basis-772@reddit
r/americandefaultism , bro is from Stuttgart of course he does not know about an NFL team...

MattVarnish@reddit
Its used in the off season as a charter. Its been a lot of places ferrying troops, etc Robert Kraft might be a lot of things, but dumb isnt one of them: Why let an asset sit idle when it can be chartered out when youre not using it?
Livingforabluezone@reddit
Let’s GOOOOOOOO!
Redfox_192@reddit
American football team plane owned by Robert Kraft, they frequently contract the plane out in the offseason (now) for charters including government/military use. Famously sent it to China to pick up hospital worker PPE during Covid (one example).
