We both live in the U.S and my friend is on his way home from a trip overseas. He's been gone for 3 weeks and probably hasn't been paying attention to anything going on back home. given how crazy things are, I thought it might be funny to tell him something while he's on the plane like "oh by the way, while you were gone..." or like "yeah there is a new law that...". I don't want it to be anything too dark, but something that would be a funny prank. Any ideas?
I figure it's impossible to tell satire from news here in the U.S these days, so almost anything goes. đ

Tell him that since TSA/CBP still isnât getting paid, they have passengers handing them cash as theyâre processed.

Tell him about the new TSA "clear backpack/carry-on" rule (which turned out to be an April Fools prank). Plenty of articles still floating around because people thought it was real.
