Outgoing…and where is it addressed to?
frankcountry@reddit
He’s just transferring his issue to the postman. Sad.
MalPB2000@reddit
Yeah, it’s pretty dumb. A mail carrier commented and said they do what they’re literally supposed to do…which is “deliver” it right back into the mail box lol
Mantaeus@reddit
Hahahaha....no. Letter carrier here. Don't do this, it's not going to accomplish anything except piss off the people who deliver your mail. Unless you write "refused" on each one (which gives us the go ahead to dispose of them), most carriers I know would (correctly) put it right back in your mailbox. They have your address on them, you see, we know who did it. If they don't catch it, it's just going to re-enter the mailstream and come back to you anyway.
XOtentialAsthmatic@reddit
I'd be completely fine with them knowing I did it and I'm definitely not taking the time to write refused on them. I like the idea of spreading the annoyance. They waste my time, I'll waste theirs until one of us hits a stalemate.
TheMasterSwordMaster@reddit
You're wasting the time of your mailman, not the people who actually sent the mail. You're accomplishing nothing. Just get a trash can bro
St1ckY72@reddit
Funny, I don't get spam mail. Wanna know the trick? Quit trying to save $3 on a $200 receipt at your local chain store. They give you peanuts but sell your data egregiously, that's why your phone gets spam robo calls too lol you are literally only accosting the postal workers for Your greed.
WloveW@reddit
All fine until the mail carrier mistakes a check you are expecting as junk mail. In which case I would guess you'd also blame the carrier for not getting it right. Because you're never wrong. A lot of people know someone like you.
You are putting the onus of responsibility on the wrong person.
hbh110@reddit
So you want your letter carrier to be able to choose which mail to deliver and not to deliver.
Fanfare4Rabble@reddit
Imagine being a litterbug for a living. Must suck.
iNfANTcOMA_0@reddit
Mine never do. I do this all the time.
DoubleBreastedBerb@reddit
No, see, what you do is you look up the company that sent you the junk mail on LinkedIn, then you pick random people associated with the company, create fake email addresses for them, and submit their names and the company phone number to the Jehovah’s Witnesses for a free home Bible study using the fake email addresses to verify that they do, in fact, want a study.
Repeat and rinse with Mormons and Scientologists.
Konilos@reddit
Imagine being so triggered by junk mail that you take all this time out of your day to do this.
DoubleBreastedBerb@reddit
It’s unethical life pro tips lol. I don’t know how much spare time and motivation they have in their day. 😂
No_Eye_3423@reddit
This is why there’s trash cans near our mailboxes. We just trash the junk mail when we get our mail.
somethingdouchey@reddit
Use USPS Informed Delivery. You get an email with whats being delivered, with photos. Then you dont even need to waste time going to the mailbox.
thisremindsmeofbacon@reddit
Why?
Apprehensive_Hat8986@reddit
"Return to sender"
And not having to carry it home. It's not maybe a great tip, but handing spam back to the messenger sounds fair. Barely even unethical.
Mantaeus@reddit
Return to sender isn't what you want to write. Most junk mail is third class and is just getting recycled (not sent back) if it's unwanted. "Refused" is what to write, but you're just wasting you're own time writing it instead of throwing it out yourself, since that's all we're gonna do anyway, except after taking it for a ride back to office.
DookieShoez@reddit
Don’t you have to write that on each one? And isn’t this gonna make more work for the mail workers without even stopping them from continuing to send you shit?
inn0cent-bystander@reddit
You could get a stamp for that, but it'd still be work.

Low IQ i imagine
