The Atrius super selektor is very fun!
CockpitEnthusiast@reddit
Is this more contributed to the shooter or to the gun, I can't even tell here
RedOnlineOfficial@reddit
I'd say shooter 90%, gun 10%. A competent shooter that knows his gun can do this. But a well tuned, well maintained gun does help
Huntrawrd@reddit
Shooter. This is 90% technique. It doesnt matter what you do to the gun, physics wins and that energy has to go somewhere.
JellyAny818@reddit
Maybe you haven’t fired an AR with a A5 and low mass bolt carrier as well as a kynshot/reciprocal/adjustable buffer as well as an adjustable gas block. You wouldn’t believe what a combo like this can get you. Physics matter, but when you change the reciprocating mass, the recoil can very much disappear.
JellyAny818@reddit
Yea….the bootleg adjustable bcg helps a ton here. Great shooting
Oehlerne@reddit
Energy looks like its going straight back, which can definitely be attributed to a beautiful gun setup. Shooter is pushed back for the entirety of the video. Still amazing form by him, but its a good mix.
M4DHouse@reddit
The majority of the energy goes into working the action with any automatic firearm, that’s how they work.
SergeiMosin@reddit
Probably both. Well tuned and quality rifle with experienced shooter is a hell of a combo.
RedOnlineOfficial@reddit
I'm more impressed he found an indoor range that allows anything fast. The indoor ranges near me get a little bitchy when you shoot fast, much less throw the gun on giggle mode
Own-Particular6321@reddit
My local indoor couldn't care less as long as you can control the muzzle rise.
RedOnlineOfficial@reddit
There's one indoor range by me that I could probably get away with it at. They know I'm a competent shooter, as I'm there every week and know the RSOs. But I also don't want to invite idiots who are not competent shooters.
Verum14@reddit
I’m familiar with an indoor in Tx that allows it
They just watch you for a burst to make sure you’re not a moron then let you go about your day
ShaggyRebel117@reddit
Mmmm, I bet that BCG moves smoother than silk. What's the BCG, spring, and buffer combo? Been looking to upgrade my middy.

What barrel/gas length?
elkcowboy@reddit
2nding what barrel/gas length
Peezy_Or_PJ@reddit (OP)
Geissele 16.25-inch button-rifled, chrome-lined barrel with their extended mid-length gas system.
Roguewolfe@reddit
Huh, I have one of those BCG's but using a JP captured spring; looks like I need to dial in the tuning better. I mean, it's nice, but it's not a laser like your setup.
I wish someone would read the room and sell a finished retail (semi auto) version of pretty much exactly your setup. Why are we still defaulting to 1960's tech on new rifles when a rig like yours exists?!?

Some of you have never shot an ar chambered in 5.56 and .223 and it shows.

This is.

Classic.
Don_MayoFetish@reddit
Snooth as a bently lol, Freshly cleaned and a bit under gassed I imagine. Gun is also heavy with all the gizmos on it. I'd bet it stops running as reliably after several mags and a few range trips. I used to have a similar kinda setup but got tired of always having to clean it or fiddle with the gas block so I just went with 3 o'clock ejection and less stuff on the gun(pistol lights on rifles rock for this). It's more reliable and MUCH quicker to transition to the next target albeit at the cost of it recoiling more. I just accepted it is what it is 5.56 ain't too bad and it can be trained around
Peezy_Or_PJ@reddit (OP)
It has gone through 4 range trips without being cleaned and no malfunctions so far. All I’ve done is add a little oil to a few spots and it’s still not giving out.
Don_MayoFetish@reddit
Thats pretty good, hope you got the sauce there that keeps it going like a sewing machine! Are Pre oiling before each trip? That's something I wasn't doing. I was wanting something that would behave more like an unsurpassed gun and it was quite disappointing at first
WindstormMD@reddit
Excellent control. As a collector friend of mine likes to say “you have a talent for a very expensive hobby”
Quadrenaro@reddit
The first time i ever fired full auto, I had the misfortune of watching an infantryman handle the carbine, and I was led to beleive there was no recoil whatsoever lol.

Did you have to dremel out the upper receiver towards the rear take down lug to make space for the lever? A friend of mine has one of these and can't get it to rack all the way back and from everything I've gathered some people have to widen that "hole" at the rear of the upper receiver to allow the lever to pass.
I told him that but he didn't want to because he feels that he shouldn't have to "damage" one of his guns to make it work and I tried telling him it's not damaging anything but making clearance for it to work since there is no common spec for that area and how open it is. I also told him it could be his lower receiver being too "tall" and that's making the lever bind and not work. I was just curious if you had to dremel that spot out a bit.
Sweet shooter though dude, shits as flat as a board.
Peezy_Or_PJ@reddit (OP)
I’m running an ACT trigger with it. Even those it’s marked as compatible on their website. You still need to take some material off your trigger to prevent it from binding with the lever cam.
