I’m hoping, although my other build I went with kac barrel and gas block… but was wanting to try and use the stock gas block on my next one. From what I can remember the small parts aren’t needed… the only bummer is missing the charging handle as a lot of the OG kits came with them and have heard the printed ones suck. But something that is replaceable. Could be off about the small parts kit, just can’t remember anything I used from it off of the top of my head, long week.

NylAug uses a modified AR15 barrel so you’ll have to either modify your own on a lathe or buy one from one of the several parts sellers (I would not make your own).

There are also guys who will press the gas block out for you, or you can just buy KAKs. Just with a KAK gas block you will have to print a handguard assembly if you want the Aug Foregrip.

You’ll also have to modify the stock and trigger groups as these are full auto and if you just slap everything together you’ll have a machine gun. The instructions are pretty thorough from what I can tell though.

Correct, just referencing the stub which has your gas block which is still usable. Which I would consider the barrel. But now that I think about it, the reference the handle not having the spring and cap which means it does come with the barrel stub and gas block.

I purchased the $339 kit, but have now learned the only additional part to the $260 kit that’s needed was the charging handle (which is $25 on other sites). Intend to print a nylaug. Now they’re 300 and 360, as they’ve been raising the price.

The 360 kit is Steyr Austria parts, vs the 300 kit is SME Malaysia parts. No guarantee, but the Austria parts might be modestly better condition or quality. Most kits coming in have been SME, so I don’t know that differences are well known.

You’ll definitely need a charging handle, I think you could probably print one but that will lack the metal piece that goes inside so it might be a little janky. I bought one separately because my kit didn’t come with one.

KAK gas block (neither kit has a piston for the gas block)
This kit doesn’t have a charging handle. The more expensive one does and 3D2A has some. But otherwise they’re usually unobtainium -Misc hardware from hardware store of choice listed on BOM

At the moment, yes. These are the machine gun versions so you can’t just buy a civilian Aug receiver and slap it in. Part of the NylAug build is converting it to Semi-auto

You need a 3d printer to make the Nylon receiver. There is a BOM list in the official NylAug build instructions which you can find on the sea. Check out r/2a3d for more.

I recently bought a P1S and have been printing with PETG and PLA/PLA+, is the step up to printing with PA6-CF that crazy? I’ve heard that it greatly benefits from moisture treatment and annealing but haven’t looked into how that process works

For the printer, you just need to upgrade your extruder gears and nozzle (cheap upgrades and easy to install).

The most important thing is drying the filament. I do 85C for 24 hours and print from the dryer (AMS-HT). The cheapo dryers cannot dry nylon adequately. Annealing isn't really needed in most cases, but moisture treatment is encouraged. Disclaimer: I haven't read the build docs for the Nylaug, so don't know if annealing would help with any of the parts, but I doubt it.

Next, look for the print settings by someone named 300BLKFDE. Use your google skills and you'll find them. They may even be on Makerworld now as a matter of fact as a project. FYI these are a starting point, and while they often work as-is, you may need to tune depending on your particular filament, printer, and environment.

Finally, and frankly most importantly, printing 2A stuff shouldn't be done by anyone that doesn't have experience tweaking printer settings or assembling firearms (not saying that's you--just throwing out the disclaimer).

Titus arms has them oos right now but they sell the printed receiver. Since it’s a receiver for sale it is serialized and has to go through an FFL. Would expect him to do a few more runs with more kits coming into consumer hands. As far as instructions there’s a few in-depth documents and a ‘layman’ guide as well. Incase you change your mind
