Which GPU should I put in a Ryzen 7 5700X3D?

I recently upgraded almost my entire old PC, but I haven't changed the graphics card yet. Which one do you recommend?
I have an RTX 3060 with 12GB of VRAM, but I'm waiting for the AI bubble to burst so I can get a new, cheaper GPU.
And I got the Ryzen 7 5700X3D brand new from a store in Mexico, it was the last one.

7800XT will be good at fair price.

what’s your budget, and what resolution are you playing at?
Low-Disk5240@reddit (OP)
$450 with the possibility of stretching it a little more, and I usually play at 1080p at 60 or 120 fps, depending on the game.

You shouldnt get anything more powerful than a 9070 or a 5070 in your case.
You could check the used market for a well priced 4070/4070 Super.
Antenoralol@reddit
9060 XT 16 GB.
gamblodar@reddit
Find a used 3080 or 3080ti. It'll give you much better performance than the 5060Ti, and the 5060Ti would require stretching your budget to $490.
bean_fritter@reddit
Nah. Take the newer card with more vram and newer DLSS features. Not to mention a warranty. Find a way to make $40.
ImminentFallout@reddit
Used 3080/3080ti is not a bad idea either if you’re ok with going used, might be challenging finding them in the used market for Mexico but they do sell for ~400usd.
gamblodar@reddit
Here in the states the pop up on r/hardwareswap a couple times a week for $300-$350. It's damn hard to recommend a new card. I have a 3090 and no intention of upgrading for years.
ImminentFallout@reddit
Yeah a quick browse and i found a few 3080’s for ~370usd here in Mexico, and yeah new cards are super expensive especially here in Mexico, i remember wanting a 5060ti 16gb initially but those were going for like ~630usd which is a horrible deal.
PokerLawyer75@reddit
Go with the 9060XT if you can find the 16GB model, it'll wipe the floor with the 5070 at those ranges.
ImminentFallout@reddit
Since you’re at 1080p i wouldn’t recommend anything over a 5070, i have a 5700x3d & 5070 and in some cpu bound games like BF6 i get a clear cpu bottleneck with my cpu limiting me to like ~120fps while the gpu is marked as capable of going to like ~180fps. Obviously it depends on whats going on in the scene but im clearly missing like ~50fps cause the cpu cant keep up.

5090
Unfair_Cartoonist411@reddit
No, it's a budget option. RTX Pro 6000 is the answer.
animeman59@reddit
Concur
5090 is the way to go
Antenoralol@reddit
I use a 7900 XT with a 5800X3D and it's solid.
RDNA 5 / RTX 60 or RDNA 6 / RTX 70 will be my upgrade point for the GPU.

Any Gpu, go crazy with it
General-Gold-28@reddit
You want to know what GPU to buy but you’re waiting for the AI bubble to burst? How could we possibly recommend a GPU? For all we know the bubble could burst tomorrow or when the nvidia 7000 series is out
Little-Equinox@reddit
Or it could burst when we get the RTX 80 series😅
Unlikely_Feedback_23@reddit
Hold up. What store has them new in box
Tribbs_4434@reddit
9070xt or 5070ti, subject to availibility and price depending on where you live.
Kharnics@reddit
I rock my 5700x3D w/ a 7900 GRE. I'm team AMD, id pair it with a 9060 16g if I bought a gpu now.
Fixitwithducttape42@reddit
Whatever you can comfortably afford. I have a 5600x3d I need to toss an OS on the drive and I am dropping a rx 5700 xt in there because it's what I have and it will meet my needs. I would have zero issue tossing one of the highest end GPU's with this CPU. The GPU will get upgraded when it no longer meets my needs.
dart51984@reddit
I have a 5070ti with my 5800x3d and it’s pretty amazing at 1440p.
blackburn26@reddit
Lucky guy, congrats. Since you're playing at 1080p, the RTX 3060 12GB is already enough. Monitoring the utilizations while gaming. If in any title that the GPU is not at 95%++, it's when you need an upgrade.
Your target will be any model of the RTX 4070 (and higher) on used market or RX 9060 XT 16GB if you're prefer the AMD harmony. Because your CPU is so good at handling 1% lows, you don't need a GPU that uses brute force to stay smooth. You can look for cards that excel in Frame Generation.
changen@reddit
5080 is probably the max i would use as past that you are going to be CPU bottlenecked even with AAA games.
5090 if you play ONLY AAA games at maxed settings.
Esport games will probably never even hit 50% utilization.
WizardMoose@reddit
$700+ budget - 9070xt or 5070ti
<$700 budget - 5070
Go with Nvidia if you want things like DLSS or use it for production work.
PokerLawyer75@reddit
Your budget's way of. There's a $400 price difference between the 9070XT and the 5070Ti currently. Unless you're doing production work, or have some need of raytracing in your games, the 9070XT is going to kill the 5070 Ti.
You can get a 9060XT for the price of a used 3080 and wipe the floor with the 3080. I've seen 16GB 9060XTs on sale today for under $500.
DeepSoftware9460@reddit
5700x3d could have any modern GPU pared with it and work really well depending on the game/resolution/refresh rate.
pcikel-holdt-978@reddit
If you can find a 9070xt or 7900GRE that'll be good to use as well.
syunz@reddit
5090 would work
latending@reddit
This is like asking how long is a piece of string. Budget and display would greatly help.
Adis_Gruntledfatty@reddit
hard to recommend anything when we dont know your res/refresh rate
