I put a CYC X1 Pro on a Surly Ice Cream Truck, and this is magnificent fun!

Fat tires and high power mid-drives, name a more iconic duo!
Any idea of the top speed or weight?
hot_miss_inside@reddit (OP)
I weighed it around 60 pounds with the battery and motor.
Not sure of top speed yet. I have a plan to take it to an abandoned airport nearby and see what I can get it up to. There's a video on YouTube of a fat bike with the X1 Pro and it hits 47MPH.

That’s sick!
I don’t think I would trust regular fat bike tires at that speed though. Would recommend getting a set designed for e-bikes like the Vee tire huntsman or HEB viperess and going tubeless if you aren’t already :)

I'm definitely tubeless. I'd like to just see what it's capable of getting up to, but I got this setup to be able to explore old, abandoned forest service trails and won't be fast at all.

Bought the bike over a year ago with the idea of adding a motor for bikepacking. I was researching the Bafang motor and was seeing all kinds of fit issues and then one day saw a bike like mine on Facebook with the CYC X1 Pro and how well it fit so I pulled the trigger on that one. It was SUPER simple to install and this past weekend I loaded a Burley Flatbed trailer up with gear and explored old forest service roads. This is a beast of a setup and absolutely a TON of fun to ride!

What battery are you using?

The 52v20ah Jumbo Shark from Johnny Nerdout (they were fantastic to work with!)

CYC has a lot of torque and is a hill killing monster
hot_miss_inside@reddit (OP)
The torque is insane!
I was worried about my drive train so I dialed down the power quite a bit in the app.
I took it out to the national forest and loaded the trailer with around 60 pounds of gear and it climbed hills effortlessly!

BRAAAP!

I have a 2013 Pugsley I wouldn't mind doing that to, but I doubt it would fit.

Beautiful bike, nice conversion.
