Escom and Tulip surely had fairly sizeable market share around then, more significant than some named there?

To wit, Escom had 11.2% of the PC market in Germany by 1994, according to wikip,, when it had sold 410k PCs. In 1992 it sold 180k. So it probably had >= 5% of the German market even in '92.

Aye, I remember our 1st PC in 1991 was an Amstrad with an XT8086 CPU and 256kb of RAM, 30Mb hard drive, VGA monitor. It was in France.

I don't recall an Amstrad with 256KB of RAM. The PC1512 had... 512KB and that was the entry level model.
