Dog training

I live over in Greenville, so about 1-1.5 hours from Dallas, but I figured maybe I could get some results on the Dallas sub.
Any recommendations for dog training? My wife and I adopted a Rottweiler and she’ll be a year old in May. The breeders told us they did a lot of the basics, but after two months (honestly after the first two days) it’s apparent there was little to no training or handling.
I’ve had a lot of dogs in my life, but lived in Colorado, so we had our trainer there. She’s coming out of her shell and has come a long way, but she is very much “one step forward, two steps back”.
I’ll have a lot of free time this summer so I’d prefer it to be in person as much as possible.
The one that comes up a lot in my searches is Sit Mean Sit just over in Royse City, but both on Reddit and other places they have a lot of negative reviews and publicity for using shock collars.

Ponderosa Pet Resort in Rouse City. You can leave your dog there a few weeks and they'll train the dog for you.

I took my poodle to a trainer in Arlington called “Lisa’s k-9 kids” and absolutely loved her training style and it worked wonders on my poodle. Would highly recommend her. You can find her on Facebook!

I had the worst experience with Lisa. Unless people are okay with her being abusive toward you, I would not go there. Look at her reviews

Whaaaat what happened?! She does have a stronger character but I found her method very helpful
I did only go for a couple of weeks as then we had a Texas freeze back in ‘21 and life took over so I never went back to complete the full sessions but my poodle highly benefited from those weeks and I kept practicing her style onward

Check out @refinedcanineacademy on IG. She is great, especially with large breed dogs! Shes located in Dallas, so yeah, you’d have to drive. But I’m sure you could ask about meeting 1/2 way as well.

What type of training are you looking for? Like puppy manners stuff? Reactivity? Anxiety/Separation anxiety? Huge difference between "my dog isn't potty trained" and "my dog has bitten someone". Both are trainable, but you're going to need to be more specific

Fideaux fundamentals is the best.

I had an amazing experience with Scott. My dog has bad anxiety. He really provided me with some information and tools I never needed with other dogs in the past. Or at least I didn’t think I needed. Learned so much and my dog gets compliments on his improvements from when he first came to me.

Post in the Garland sub. There are some possibilities for you in that area and it's not a bad drive from Greenville. Might even be something in Rockwall.
