How often do you actually get your car serviced?

Just after some opinions really. My wife’s car has done around 66k miles, purchased last July at 61k miles. We got a major service done as soon as we bought it as the last “service” was the dealer checks (not actually a service). We’ve only done 5k miles since July but the MOT is due in May so was thinking of getting a service and MOT in one visit.

My wife’s opinion: we hardly do any miles in it, and it was only serviced 10 months ago - save our money and skip the service and just get the basic MOT done.

My opinion: might as well tie the service and MOT in one visit and do them together each year from this point on.

I know we *should* do a service every year, but how many of you *actually do*?
