What's something people tend to judge about you just by looking at you?

I've had many people ask me if I'm a metalhead, a biker or generally a nuisance.
I'm large, heavily tattooed, bald with a large beard but I love brit pop, drive a 1.5 Honda and rarely drink.
VolcanicBear@reddit
People assume I'm into alternative music and am a massive nerd.
They're not wrong.
Mdl8922@reddit
People think I'm miserable/grumpy/hostile. It's just my face.
Gullible-Yam-8098@reddit
People think I'm miserable/grumpy/hostile. It's just my face. Also I am.
TwoTenNine@reddit
Same. I'm just built like frosty the snowman
Grand-Impact-4069@reddit
Do we share the same face?
Worldly_Client_7614@reddit
Strangers always say ive got an honest smile/eyes.
When on holiday, if the tour guide/ hotel entertainment need a volunteer from the crowd, im often picked alot
Its nice to be seen as "safe" and "friendly" tbh
fickle_tartan@reddit
I'm a woman who used to shave my head, and people made a lot of snap judgements about me. Often very loudly and pretty fucking rudely too.
pajamakitten@reddit
I'm a short bloke with a baby face and glasses. People always seem to correctly guess I am a scientist and a nerd, however they always seemed shocked that I am not weak and will happily not put up with crap. I went to a rough school and got bullied a lot. I just refuse to accept it as an adult, so will happily stand up for myself against idiots who think I am a soft target.
FunkyYoghurt@reddit
I wear cheap trainers, trackies, cheap tops, a hat (even in summer. I always need a beanie or cap on. Don't know why. Always have). And if you see me about you'll probably see me with a can and a cig.
Basically you'd most likely prejudge me as a wrongun.
In reality: the cheap road man aesthetic is because I look after adults with learning disabilities and complex needs, so often get...bodily fluids either on me or too close to comfort, so why would I wear £300 trainers or jeans?
As for the drink, I walk because I don't like buses and don't like forking out on taxis and where I work is about 1 hour 20 mins home walking. It's great "me time" with my tunes on and in being in my own world. So I treat myself to a can of cider for the walk.
plissryuken@reddit
Respect I always have to have a cap on or beanie even at work. People assume i don't have hair but I actually have long hair.
Witty_Entry9120@reddit
If we gathered up your closest circle of friends and family members, would they also be partial to a tracksuit? and a can of cider in public?
Nothing against it mind.
FunkyYoghurt@reddit
No. Family don't drink and my friends prefer the pub. My mum hates that I wear trackies. She likes me being a "smart man".
Witty_Entry9120@reddit
Very interesting
FunkyYoghurt@reddit
Is it? Ok.
kliccit@reddit
That I am a "roadman". I just find tracksuits comfie
Active_Definition_57@reddit
I look and, probably generally am, smily and approachable. However, I suspect people might see me as quite happy go lucky when I actually have a tendency to be rather cautious and can be rather conventional.
5h0D10n@reddit
Someone once said I look like a craft ale drinker 🤷♂️
when_music_hits@reddit
That is an insult, isn't it?
Active_Definition_57@reddit
I'm British and I think of an archetypal craft ale drinker being a youngish hipster. An archetypal real ale drinker would be early 60s with a ruddy complexion, a beer belly and a scraggy beard.
when_music_hits@reddit
Im British too, and unfortunately the only guys I've spent time with that were craft ale drinkers/connoseurs...hmm....obviously everyone is different but when I'd tried to explain that I just don't like beer/ale(or any alcohol other rhan rum, it was met with derision, which is fine but noted that I'll not get caught in that situation again
Key-Sir7532@reddit
People think I'm not bright because I have Tourette's and tic a lot. I think a lot of people don't realise what's up -- don't know I have Tourette's -- they just figure there's something "wrong" with me. Their response is to talk to me like I'm a child, which is awkward, but at least they're being nice I guess.
Active_Definition_57@reddit
If you rode a 1.5 litre Honda, you'd be quite the biker!
EconomicsAfraid7880@reddit
As a large, bald, bearded tattooed man who is a massive metalhead you are my enemy.
PaddedValls@reddit (OP)
We shall meet at your local playpark at dusk.
Hammers or metal pipes.
Psychological-Bag272@reddit
People assume I am shy and doesn't speak English cos I am a small, unintimidating looking Asian woman. Once they get to know me they spend majority of the time begging me to shut up. 😂
lumiere108@reddit
Because of the way I dress, people sometimes ask if I’m Italian or simply compliment my look, which is really nice, or just tell me that I’ve got style😀
Connect-Bug9988@reddit
People tend to underestimate me, because I'm fairly clean cut, dress smart, and have an approachable personality, which has led to a fair few people thinking they can take advantage as they assume I'm totally naive.
Wrong move 🤣🤣🤣
serenityy666@reddit
Think am I thug or ruffian or sorts as often have cauliflower ears (get them easily and often get them drained but usually swollen a bit most of the time) from training BJJ 4 times a week.
Fullchimp@reddit
People think I’ve got it together because I’m good looking, present well and don’t have a strong regional accent. I have no qualifications, no real relationship with my family, only soft skills and few prospects.
when_music_hits@reddit
I've been told that I look aggressive or imposing presumably due to being tall and broad with a resting bitch face...I can't help my looks and don't suppose I really care, but I'd say if you're worried about me, you're looking in the wrong direction.
C0nnectionTerminat3d@reddit
probably almost the exact same as you but the opposite. I wear modest, basic clothes, glasses, hair typically up and/or in braids and my bedroom is pink and white themed so people assume girly girl, pop loving, quiet, “typical good” girl aesthetic etc.
in reality i actually love metal/rock music, gothic style and culture, smoke weed and would love tons of tattoos once i build up the courage to get one.
Key-Original-225@reddit
I have a naturally heavy frown when my face is at rest, people always think I’m pissed off.
CautiousJump3942@reddit
That I’m a bit weird and quirky, and an eccentric loner.
I’m actually just an introvert, but can lead, hold and carry a very provoking and thoughtful conversation, which people who are forced into conversation with me are pleasantly surprised at how witty and intelligent I come across.
I just have a low social battery and don’t indulge in chit chat too much, as it’s part of my job to converse.
Dramatic-Doctor-7386@reddit
People find me intimidating and think I'm confident and outgoing.
I'm actually super silly, sensitive and kind. I feel like an imposter in virtually all social or professional situations. I prefer to be home with the dog, watching TV in my jammies.
Low-Captain1721@reddit
Loads of people have commented that I seem to have it all sewn up, together, highly sociable, confident, level headed and could easily attract a new girlfriend if I wanted to.
Basically all a complete contradiction to the 'real me' that I see everyday.. 😅
Mongoose-Relevant@reddit
People think I'm moody but I just work in customer service
M0ntgomatron@reddit
People think I spend the majority of my time posting comments on Reddit that get less than 10 likes.
CoffeeandaTwix@reddit
Are they old people?
20-30 years ago bearded and heavily tattooed used to mean biker or rough person but for a while now, it's more of a hipster/nerd thing tbh.
Wonderful-Cow-9664@reddit
That I have a short and fiery temper because I’m a redhead.
They are correct
Own_Average7810@reddit
People think I’m a mess, a nice but chaotic, erratic person. They’re not really wrong tbh…
