At this time of year they're also likely to be queens looking for a hole to enter and set up a nest. You'll see them hovering around buildings, walls, bushes, all over the place trying to find a spot.

Just buy window mesh. Pretty cheap from Amazon.
I buy them every year for summer, keeps all flying insects out.
If you need to get rid of the wasps, make a wasp trap and place it away from the house
