I hate to see it. Helping less techie people with their computers, they had no idea what the initial Windows account setup was actually doing, and no clue that their bank documents medical documents etc on their desktop and documents folders were uploaded to a provider that can see the data.

I hate how discounts and sales are all being hidden away behind application downloads. Kids today are so used to it that they laugh at anyone pushing back. Getting screwed out of more and more money because I'm paying the "no you can't have access to my data" tax.

Sometimes they're hidden behind a phone number (grocery stores). If you (or someone you know) doesn't have an account there, type in Jenny's number with a local area code.
I either use my parents' (since disconnected) landline or Jenny's number.

I remember when I was working on a project and they wanted to prevent customers from taking a screenshot or saving the quote they had generated (for reasons that were unclear to me and I didn't care enough to ask), we were already into the smartphone era so I pointed out they could just take a picture of the screen. Then the feature request died.
