RTX 5070 Ti vs RX 9070 XT

Hey guys, trying to decide between the RTX 5070 Ti and the RX 9070 XT.
Main use would be gaming and some 3D modeling/rendering. I’d also like something a bit future-proof. My current GPU just died, and I’m running an i5-11600K right now (planning to upgrade CPU, mobo, and RAM soon).
From what I’ve seen, the 5070 Ti seems slightly ahead overall (especially with ray tracing and AI features), but the 9070 XT looks like better value and still very close in performance.
For those who’ve tested or own one of these, which would you recommend and why?

What was your previous GPU?

I had a Rtx 3080

Since you do professional work, stick to NVIDIA then.

If 9070 XT is more than $100 cheaper, just get that

RTX vs RX - guess whats better

Blender rendering benchmarks show the 5070ti to be 200-250% faster than the 9070XT. This will be the same for any rendering engine that uses CUDA.

The 5070 TI is 3 times faster rendering in 3D modeling applications.

It is not 3 times faster, lol

It is not an exaggeration. AMD's GPUs have no CUDA support which makes them MUCH slower in CUDA enabled rendering apps such as Blender. Look up the benchmarks yourself.

Do you care about DLSS, MFG, RT and PT? If yes then 5070-Ti if not 9070XT

Why the hell am I being downvoted is beyond me. Reddit can be a real shithole

Its 2026 - everyone care about it

If you're only gaming, then 9070xt wins. Any other type of work, get the 5070Ti.

How is everyone giving their take when prices were never mentioned?
CUDA cores are great, but it's not like the 9070 XT can't run the same programs

For your usecase 5070Ti is far superior gpu and worth extra money

5070 TI u won't regret it................

At least until OP's car gets repossessed

5070ti and it's not even close

5070 Ti

5070 ti for sure

For regular gaming, the RX 9070 XT performs the same while being noticeably cheaper.
For RT gaming, the RTX 5070 Ti pulls ahead, especially with DLSS bonuses, but you'll have to evaluate the price vs performance.
For modelling, any modern GPU will do. All the GPU needs to do is display your model with smooth FPS. The more complex the model, the more expensive your GPU should be.
For rendering, NVIDIA is far superior than AMD thanks to the Optix API. No contest.

For 3d modeling software, definitely get the 5070ti, I would go as far as saying a 5070 is a better option than the 9070xt for 3d modeling, becuase of how much it loves cuda and how optimized it is
GABE_EDD@reddit
For software compatibility with 3D-modeling and rendering applications, I'd go for the 5070 Ti. If you were going for purely a gaming rig the 9070 XT would be a solid option, but it sounds like you'll be making use of NVIDIA productivity compatibility.

yes generally the 9070 xt is the better value card I have used both and I would say the 9070 xt is pretty close. Apart from path tracing or ray reconstruction support the 9070 xt is pretty close. Of course if money wasn't an issue I would take the 5070 ti but value wise the 9070 xt is the easy pick in most situations.
However for 3d modeling I would be careful because certain software the 5070 ti can be signficantly faster than the 9070 xt.
