1060 6gb with i5-14600k/kf

So i get low fps with my i5-6400 and it’s laggy sometimes, and i want to get an upgrade and works my 1060 and for a future gpu, so i saw this i5-14600 and i was thinking of buying it, but will it work with my 1060 6gb snd 600w?, my budget for cpu and motherboard is 250-400.

What resolution and refresh rate do you play at?
For $400 you could get a decent GPU upgrade that will likely see better gains depending. One or the other is going to be your new bottleneck after the upgrade either way.

240hz, the cpu is the bottleneck that’s why im upgrading it first and with my new i5 its an overkill but for future gpu

Fair enough, although like others suggest AM5 might be the better deal given it's still an active line for future upgrades.
Same time, if you could find a much better deal on ddr4 ram, the 14600k might be the better deal due to price

Are you near a microcenter? 7500x3d bundle is within your price range, will be fine with 600W, and AM5 has a future unlike LGA 1700.

the bundle comes with 1x16gb ddr5. Not great since it's very expensive to buy a second matching stick, but at least you have some upgradeability.

It will definitely work, you just may not get the most out of it until after you upgrade the GPU.
