With multiple parts kits including a geissele one, none of the holes were in spec. Trigger pins would walk, while takedown pins needed to be beaten out with a hammer. Sent them pics showing how wildly out of spec they were and the apologized and sent me different pins to see if it would work, but same result. Only lower I’ve had like this

Geissele lowers have a standard M16 pocket cut. You can put whatever FRT in there without any trimming of the receiver.

This G$ lower is strictly a rollmark you’re paying for. The MK2 is completely ambidextrous. This stripped lower is no better than a $50 Anderson lower.

So the machining and QC wouldn't be worth it over the anderson? and is the MK2 better over the G$ even at the $50 extra for the griffin? I have a super duty and like the features well enough that this would be a good buy for me in VA but always prefer to make informed decisions.

It’s not going to be a functional difference on the basic stripped lowers. Purely cosmetic. As for the MK2 if you don’t have any want or desire for ambidextrous controls then it’s not for you. NOLO lowers were 3 for 150 recently. That would be a much better deal

FWIW I believe you can still buy a shot show coupon on ebay for a few bucks and use it to purchase the upper from geissele themselves, saves you almost 30% i believe.

I dont get the hype (and i own an ODG 10.3 Super Duty) but it seems real. You must be sitting on a tabbed rail, I have one in DDC just collecting dust because tabbed receivers are very hard to come by without buying a complete super duty upper. Geissele still shows non tabbed ODG in stock at $210...better move if that works for you!

I bought one. I know it's not the optimized pick, but I'm from PA, and I like having the keystone on the side of my rifles. But I think it's totally valid to not want to do that as well. Doesn't make someone poor, just different priorities.

I do think downvoting the post is a bit weird. In stock notifications for items that are rarely in stock are explicitly in the sub rules as fair game. Regardless of if the price is stupid.
