I personally have a few issues.

First, in terms of electability, I don't see any reason that he is appealing. He has only meaningfully run against Dems, and as such has had no reason to try to appeal to swing voters. Intraparty fights are much different from inter party fights.

Second, California is not known as a particularly well run state. When it comes to effective governance, many people don't find ten year wait times to build an office, constant wildfires, and homeless camps to be the ideal way of doing things. Sure, not all of these are his fault, but it doesn't paint a rosy picture.

Third, and related to the two above posts, liberals think he is progressive and progressives think he is liberal. Governing wise, that doesn't make a good mix.

Caused oil and natural gas instability for countries in Europe and Asia. Hardest hit countries just happen to be the countries that we have the highest amount of debt owed to. Very little of our oil or natural gas comes from the region, meanwhile we have been pumping oil like crazy. This creates a rush of demand for North American oil which we can supply, therein stimulating the US economy while weakening others (mainly China) and shifts power back to America. All the while, the benefit of toppling a tyrannical radical regime that was cutting deals to our adversaries, sponsoring terrorist organizations, and murdering tens of thousands of protesters in a country where you can marry a 9 year old girl. The pros outweighed the cons about 100 to 1. Not to mention the added benefit of following through and flexing power which sends a message to the rest of the world, giving us leverage in negotiations and countries wanting to stay in our good graces. Geopolitics are very complicated but there is a reason you’re not in the room.

Never once did I claim that the government owns the oil. But it brings money into our economy when countries like Japan, South Korea, and India have to start buying oil from us. Gives us leverage on China in trade and completely fucks Russia. Friendly reminder that you are free to buy stocks and even if you whine and say you’re too poor, you will still benefit from an influx of capital in your economy as well as the resulting trade deals.

The other day, a doctor on MSNBC very publicly sounded the alarm on Trump having all the signs of dementia.

Casinos are actually incredibly easy to bankrupt, which is why they changed owners constantly before they all got bought up by these enormous hospitality conglomerates.
