Hello tickets, have I been scammed?

What are my chances of this being a scam or even getting the money back?

I have stupidly purchased two tickets for Harry Styles with Hello tickets, the buy was in February but I still haven't received my tickets and the company is saying that high demand tickets can be sent up to the day of the Event wtf!? I have now tried to cancel with amex but hello tickets keeps saying the transaction was legit, of course it was but where's the product ", and amex is refusing to give me the money back.

Tickets often don't arrive until a few days before the event. Hello tickets is a marketplace though, so whether you get them depends entirely on if the other party is legit.

I usually get them straight away with Ticketmaster..I'm not familiar with other sites. From your experience do you think amex should give me the money back (if I don't get the tickets)

I've had ticketmaster not send them until 3 days before an event before.

If you dont receive them the day of the event, then open a dispute with Amex as services not rendered / product not supplied.

Amex = American Express, the credit card used by OP

With ticketmaster you are buying the tickets directly. With Hello Tickets you are buying from a reseller.

Again, a lot of gigs do not distribute tickets until close to the date.

If you don't receive it, yes, you will likely get your money back. It might be a faff but you probably will.

Bonjour, moi c’est pareil je n’ai toujours pas mon billet pour Amsterdam et le concert est la semaine prochaine!! J’ai écris à hellotickets et ils m’ont assuré que j’aurais mon billet dans les temps mais comment vous dire que je suis en stress total car je vis en France et du coup si je vais à Amsterdam avec tous les frais que cela engendre et que je ne reçois pas mon billet….

Same issue, i bought 2 tickets for the opening night in Amsterdam via Hellotickets. I'll let you know if something happens, rn i just wrote an email to Hellotickets, and they said that he customer service will be monitoring my case until i access my tickets.

Hi. I just went to Tame Impala's concert in O2 arena in Prague. I purchased tickets from Hellotickets months ago and I was also panicking because I thought it was a scam. I reached out to their customer service multipulte times, asking when my tickets will arrive and they always reassured me that they're going to arrive but only in days prior to the concert or even on the same day. Anyways, in the end it all worked out fine. I got my tickets a week before the concert. They were ticketmaster tickets and sent to me in an email. I just scanned the QR code from the ticket when I was entering O2 arena and everything worked out fine. So you shouldn't worry, it's legit. I am still a bit confused because of bad reviews I saw. There were people literally saying they never got the tickets or they got fake tickets from Hellotickets. I don't know if these reviews are fake or not. To me they seem legit, I found them on Linkedin, their customer service was very responsive and the tickets they sent me worked.

You have no way of determining that this is a scam until you get to the date of the event and find whether or not you have received valid tickets.

There's currently no grounds for a chargeback via Amex unless the website promised that you'd receive your tickets by now.
