Should I buy this used 2008 Hybrid Lexus ?

I’m looking for a used car… Just a commuter car. nothing fancy. I drive a 2007 Lexus now that I love but I would like more trunk space.
I found a posting for a used Lexus RX.
We can fix the “parasite” but it’s the “hybrid” part I’m nervous about. A 20 year old electric engine is scaring me. Am I right to feel that way or am I missing out on a great deal.
Description as follows
Selling this 2008 Lexus RX400h Hybrid. Only 121,000 miles. Car runs and drives well and has always been serviced on time. The interior is in fantastic shape, typical 2000s Lexus comfort and quality. Good tires, brakes, all fluids topped off and oil recently changed. Very clean car
As for what the car needs;
-Car has a parasitic draw and kills the battery after a few days
-Some of the controls on the dash are intermittent. Could be related to the draw
-Has some rock chips on the hood
Car will drive home no problem and could be an awesome fuel-efficient, comfortable daily driver or spare vehicle after the issues are resolved. Clean title in hand. Looking for $5500 but open to offers. Located in 06794, serious buyers only please!

If you want to fix the electricals and have money saved for a new hybrid battery go for it.

Seems like there isn't much benefit purchasing a hybrid vehicle if that's the case then especially with the added complexity

The battery is almost 20 years old. Like any car things just age out at some point. Of greater concern is tracking the electrical draw. That could be a money pit.

I’d avoid it just for that. If current owner hasn’t sorted it out then I wouldn’t want it to be my problem.
