They didn't do too badly out of all this, "Yair" clearly doesn't grasp that this was a war of opportunism for Israel frankly (the opportunity being that they finally found a President dumb enough to hit Iran with them, at least for a few weeks)

do you remember ukrainian drones vs russian tanks? that's happening in Lebanon now. except israel doesn't have millions of people and equipment to send to the meatgrinder. an "elite" people cannot fight ground wars. harsh return to reality. nevermind the fact that iran now has 2 weeks to supply those guys properly, and implement new knowledge gained on the ground to push the drone advantage further.

One major reason Israel is obsessed with getting other countries involved in their conflicts is entirely down to the fact that they literally do not have enough people to fight their own stupid wars. Even with mass conscription and wide-scale service, they don't have enough, and Israel is only really set up for defensive conflicts, not offensive.
Even with that said, warfare has changed so rapidly in the last decade or so. Drones have genuinely just changed how tanks can even be deployed in the first place, meaning that having reliable heavy fire support without deploying shitloads of local jammers is basically impossible.

Let's be real, it's a sign of the enormous military imbalance that individual US soldiers dying makes the news. It is, like every war since probably Korea, public opinion that is the actual limiting factor to US capabilities. Which is why Iran's strategy has been smart so far.

Yeah right. The IOF got fucked in land combat consistently. They are still unable to occupy Lebanese villages and make them safe for their troops.
All israel has done in Lebanon are massacres from bombing buildings through their air superiority.

I really hope Iran targets israeli positions in Lebanon, less interceptors, no reason for Jordan or GCC countries to take missiles down if they are flying towards south of Lebanon. In the high chance case israel doesn't want to add Lebanon to the ceasefire agreements.

The positions established in Lebanon are minor outposts and not worth the trouble (strategically speaking). Today israel launched barbaric carpet bombing on Lebanon, guess they are upset that USA did not consult them for the ceasefire!
