Trying to ask out a girl I work with from Britain. Any suggestions?

She's hard to read and she told my friends that she thinks I'm "proper ping" idk what that means.
DrMacAndDog@reddit
Just Hugh Grant it:
“Em,em,em…….gosh, I wonder. No, what am I thinking of! Do,do, do you, would, would would you? No, of course not. Anyway, lovely to meet you. Have a nice day!”
It always seems to work for him.
Wearyfern695116@reddit
It works for him cuz he’s Hugh grant and famous.
weedywet@reddit
If you look like Hugh you most likely don’t need to be famous for it to work.

"Alwight guv'na, me old China. How's about coming out with me for a Ruby and a bo'l o' wa'er, I'll give you a bell on the dog 'n' bone? I'll drive us, cos I'm not a bus wanker."
As a British girl, this would do it for me every time.
weedywet@reddit
Nitpick: just say ‘on the dog’ (or on the molly) just as you only used the first part for ruby or china.

I feel like she would love this. Die laughing fs. Tysm
r99c@reddit
Is she from southern England, particularly around near London/the South East? If so, it's likely she said "proper peng", which means she finds you very attractive.
NoTrifle834@reddit (OP)
She's from Canterbury
TheOmegaKid@reddit
Yeah peng means good looking :)
AdDependent5136@reddit
Is that slang still in use? I havnt heard it in about 15 years lmao
TheOmegaKid@reddit
I mean we still sue it occasionally in an ironic kinda way. It's one of those relics of a nostalgic time for us 😂
ForestRiver2@reddit
I've never heard it. Up norf though
strawberriesrpurple@reddit
in surrey and haven’t heard this
r99c@reddit
Joey Essex popularised it in TOWIE. Probably an Essex/Kent/East London thing.
ImpressiveStorm8914@reddit
That would explain why I’ve never heard that term at all. I do everything I can to avoid those nobodies.
godgoo@reddit
Ok but that was 20 years ago!
Alarmed-Newspaper994@reddit
Not heard it for a long time in the South, this whole situation has a whiff of bullshit. What kind of adult asks how to ask someone out like this?
NoTrifle834@reddit (OP)
Wonderful
Martin_y1@reddit
Update us ,.lol..as someone suggested , just invite her for lunch at weatherpeoons .
NoTrifle834@reddit (OP)
Don't have those in the us
Martin_y1@reddit
Ah ok,. A quiet coffee shop ?
NoTrifle834@reddit (OP)
Nothing's quiet in the us but she's coming over in 2 hours to listen to music and chill
Martin_y1@reddit
Fantastic ! Enjoy !!!

6:00 must be the earliest date ever
MovingTarget2112@reddit
It means she likes you.
Don’t try flirty slang. Just be yourself. Be friendly and confident but not arrogant. Don’t try too hard or you’ll scare her off. If she’s interested in seeing you she’ll let know with body language. Then ask her to meet up with you outside work and see what happens.
NoTrifle834@reddit (OP)
We live in trailers at work she's in the next room
pharmamess@reddit
Try the flirty slang, she will love it!
NoTrifle834@reddit (OP)
Don't know any
ImpressiveStorm8914@reddit
Don’t use slang or try to fake being cool. MovingTarget has it right - just be you. Go to her, maybe when she‘s away for other people if you’re unsure and simply ask her. Have some ideas in your head of where to go and what to do, nothing too flashy as it’s only a first date but not crap either. Make it nice and comfortable for you both.
Also, for curiosity, what work do you do where you live in trailers?
NoTrifle834@reddit (OP)
Carnivals, like Ferris wheels and games, there's a ton of British and South africans
ImpressiveStorm8914@reddit
Ah okay, that makes sense and thanks for the answer.
May I suggest you don’t offer to take her to a carnival for your first date.😀
NoTrifle834@reddit (OP)
I wont
pharmamess@reddit
Watch some movies and imitate some of the lines you hear.
anOddPhish@reddit
"I like the playstation, do you like the playstation?"
Frosty-Wasabi-2932@reddit
You're going to get the sack.
ChallengingKumquat@reddit
Or get her in the sack. One or the other.
Paulstan67@reddit
Tea bagged?
UmpireDowntown1533@reddit
The wedding sack?
NoTrifle834@reddit (OP)
Hopefully lmao
NoTrifle834@reddit (OP)
That was a moment of weakness

SnooDonuts6494@reddit
"Hey, do you want to go for a drink one night?" or something. And see what she says.
It's not rocket surgery.
NoTrifle834@reddit (OP)
I think I'll ask her if she wants to listen to music, she likes architects
CptPJs@reddit
get your coat, you've pulled
Spiritual_Loss_7287@reddit
Oi you nicked my chat up line.
NoTrifle834@reddit (OP)
Amazing
RareBrit@reddit
She thinks you're very attractive ... or edible looking. Can also apply to a piece of fried chicken.
She likes you. Just don't be a dweeb and you'll be fine.
wonky-hex@reddit
Great use of the word dweeb. Bravo
Nirnroot_Enjoyer@reddit
Ask if she'd like to go for a drink.
That's pretty much all we do lol
Active_Arugula_7079@reddit
Just go for it - calm confidence big smile. Friendly. You know she thinks you are attractive so you are on very solid ground to ask her out.

Chemical-Piece-5542@reddit
Asking her out would be a decent start mate
Malibu_Milk@reddit
By the sounds of it, just ask her she fancy’s getting shit faced down spoons.
garymason74@reddit
Then, up the stairs, two at a time, no kissing!
drunken-acolyte@reddit
"Peng". It means you're really good looking/desirable. Sounds like you might be in there.
