They were $50 they ran a 20% off promo and I got one for $40 Gen 1 they sold.

Now they are $60 with the promo they run $36 mostly stores have Gen 2.

This sale price is the cheapest they’ve had. I got 2 more.

I'm not sure. They were never available for the longest time, so I gave up trying to get one until I saw an entire shelf of them at my local store a week ago. Then I saw the flier and confirmed that the rail mounted light was included.

I also got a pen light on this 40% off deal. Not fancy, but really convenient. Threw in some lithium AAAs I got on clearance so it won't get ruined by old alkaline batteries like so many other flashlights have. I like it.

I just wish they had a Maglite clone. Maglites are my favorite "not a weapon" self defense weapon, except the giant adjustable wrench for my car.

The local ad that I read, just says all Braun lights 40% off. No asterisk, no fine print at the bottom. So it shouldn't have a limit, but your milage may vary, if your local store manager doesn't want to sell out of them and have pissed off customers.

Before you buy a bunch, make sure to read the comments here. I found out after buying, and after posting, that these are not quite the same ones that were getting such rave reviews. Changes were made after a lawsuit, this is like 3rd gen. If you don't like the changes, you probably won't like them more after buying a dozen.

Some people are talking about finding Gen 2s, which apparently only had a cosmetic change, still in stores. I'll be going back to see if all of my local store's inventory are these ribbed ones.

I'm in some Lowe's and Home Depot deals groups and always see people buying DOZENS of anything they think they can turn a profit on, so I guess my (baseless) assumption was that you were planning to resell.

Actually, the price will be available without membership starting Friday. So I don't suggest anyone gets the membership for THIS deal, unless they already wanted the membership.

I used to shop at HFT a lot, but never found enough savings to be worth the membership price until I bought a shop dust collection system - the member price was discounted more than the price of membership. Since then I've bought a few things and probably saved half of the membership fee again. So I'd say it's worth it, but maybe not to keep renewing all the time. I'll let it expire until the next big enough discount to make it cheap or free.

Maybe someone near an HFT will help you get one if you pay shipping. I don't think I'm well enough known on this Reddit to have people trust me not to take their money and not send stuff, so I'm not volunteering, but maybe you know somebody. 2500 rounds through my M&P 9 2.0 with the first gen of this. Zero problems. I even dropped it a bunch of times on purpose to see if I could break it. I have the second and third GEN models still new in the box, but I’m going to end up using them for my short PCCs.

It's a dang flashlight. It doesn't need precision crafting, it needs a light, and an effective way to get power from the batteries. It does that. Since it's gun mounted, it needs to attach securely. It does, although it won't fit on some very compact guns. I planned to throw this on my nightstand Taurus G2C, it didn't fit, so I put it on my Equalizer. Might get a better light that fits the cheap gun, because this is too bulky for my liking to carry. Then maybe it'll go on my poverty pony AR.

At regular price of $60, it's a decent buy. Lots of people were buying them up at that price, so it was actually hard to get them. Now they're available in abundance on HFT shelves, and $36.

Inside Track members get earlier access to the sale, but not a lower price.

Fair. But yeah, these do the job.

Fitment strikes me as the biggest problem with these. They come with adapters for several guns, but they won't fit on a gun with a very short rail.

Yeah I learned these don’t fit an x macro but about 3/8 of an inch but I have them on all my classic p22x sigs. The one on my 229 on 357sig has held on over 1k rounds without an issue, the other on a 40/9mm 226 is at 800 and no flicker or issue.

I agree with all of your points, but this redesigned version does not fit TLR-1 holsters, at least according to lots of other people.

The previous version (mid 2025) barely fit into TLR-1 holsters. If its going on a nightstand only gun or a long-gun then it does not matter.

I bought 6 on Monday. First time i'd heard they were in store, but i've called a couple of times over the last year to ask. They had a pallet of them--but only the current knurled-end model (I looked).I've got dozens of TLR1-HL-pattern holsters from over the years with guns to match, but I'm not buying a dozen TLR1-HL's if i stop carrying those guns. I've been waiting on these not being vaporware to try them out.

I threw three of them on gun/holster combos yesterday. A couple of old DSG Arms Alpha holsters fit a VP9 and a G23 that absolutely worked, but neither of them liked it. I also noticed that as soon as i took the TLR-1HL off my Glock 23 and put the Harbor Greatness on and into the holster, it chewed a bunch of material off the interior of the holster. Fitment is real close, but not excellent. It's tearing up the holster a bit, and it's not 'clicking' in. I bet limited effort with a heat gun ($10 at HF) would likely solve that problem, but I do have a slight fear that it might no longer securely fit a Streamlight afterwards. A G19 in a Galco holster attempt was a no-go. I've got others i'll try over the coming days.

No shooting feedback yet, but these are bright little fuckers. Side-by-side with the streamlight and a bad wall to assess it at, this is visually superior to the earlier gen 600lm Streamlight, maybe better than/equivalent illumination to my Streamlight 1000lm version but with (slightly) inferior focus. I was too lazy to pull the 1200lm gun out of the safe, but will when I install the other lights. The Youtube videos i've seen on these have shown remarkable durability. I'll keep the 4-5 TLR1-HL's i've got floating around on the guns I expect to need.

I signed up for the membership to pick these up at the $36. These are a fucking steal based on what I've seen in videos. And if they end up not working on the holsters I want them for, I could always return 'em. I seriously doubt I would though--half these guns would never have lights on them otherwise and I'd always fully expected to run 'em in the dark if I grabbed them.

I bought a wadsn for around $40 to use as an extra holster key long before these were an option, fit was very slightly off in a pretty tight holster. It was also nearly as bright as an HL, until it stopped working, but I never intended on using it as a light.

It seems that Streamlight must be suing the shit out them and forcing redesigns. I think they have gone through three:

The first version was all smooth and had a sliver ring, apparently Streamlight sued them and forced removal of the silver ring.

The second version was all smooth, sans silver ring. I suspect Streamlight sued because that was not enough to kill competition, since it still worked the same, especially when it came to holsters.

This latest version is ribbed and knurled which apparently does not work well with TLR1 holsters.
