Got the recommendation from a gun shop owner really like the dude and he’s an old guy so he most likely knows his stuff but just came on here to see if there’s any anyone who has any objections to using this my purpose is simply target practice for now

Absolutely no problem using .38 Special in a revolver chambered for .357 Magnum. Common practice.

Yeah, I know that’s the whole reason I was getting it because it’s two guns in one. I was just asking if that particular brand is good.
HybridP365@reddit
Literally any 38 special round is good in a revolver.
You don't have to worry about cycling an action or failures to feed. Put the round in, aim, pull the trigger, it goes boom. Done.

Ok. Yeah PMC is fine. Perhaps try writing your question with a little more clarity (and perhaps some punctuation.)

Oh my God it’s a Greek tragedy. 20,000 people just died because I didn’t put punctuation on a Reddit post that two people are going to see. Oh my God, I can’t believe what I’ve done

Your post title reads like it was written by someone that pets puppies too roughly. Your comments aren't any better.

What an amazing comment. Im adding this to the lexicon for future use

Dude. I was just pointing out that if you genuinely want a question answered, then perhaps ask a question that makes some fucking sense. Just re-read what you originally wrote. Read it to yourself aloud a few times. It’s like you were having a damn stroke 😂

The average intelligence on this site just gets lower and lower every year.

I hear you. The post could have simply been titled “Is PMC .38 Special a decent cartridge for use in a .357 Revolver?” I don’t know what the rest of it was supposed to mean 😂
Visible_Nail4859@reddit
It will shoot just fine, but if you have a .38, you can NOT shoot .357 through it!

Bro. Do some hooked on phonics lessons or something. My eyes are bleeding.
lazertagzebra@reddit
.38 special is safe for .357, and PMC is a good brand for the money
Sixgun-I-owe-you-one@reddit (OP)
Thank you it was worth about 25 bucks

….try buying online. You can get it much cheaper.
Minimum_Check1479@reddit
I only buy ammo online for ammo I can’t find in store or massive bulk purchases ive found after shipping costs it’s either the same price or just mildly cheaper and I would rather just go to the store and buy it and have it same day then get it 2 cents cheaper a round and have to wait awhile
OldGamerX79@reddit
Yeah. I just fired a box of these from my S&W just last week
robertva1@reddit
Why wouldn't it
Coeruleus_@reddit
I can’t picture any 38 special not working well in my revolver. I only care what I feed my non revolvers
ElmoZ71SS@reddit
For target practice send it. PMC is good ammo company in my experience. From pistol to rifles I've never had a bad experience with PMC ammo.
Feeling_Title_9287@reddit
Idk why it wouldn't be working well unless you were either shooting it out of a snubnose or if you are newer/shit at shooting pistols
Maybe try 357 magnum
Special_EDy@reddit
If you shoot a lot of 38 special through your 357, carbon can build up in the extra headspace in the chambers of the cylinders, making it difficult to load or extract 357 from the cylinder.
However, a quick scrub with a bristled bore brush and some cleaner should get this carbon out. You should be doing this cleaning periodically anyways.

Let the record show that I have no objections.

No ur gun will blow up real bad
Sixgun-I-owe-you-one@reddit (OP)
Just to clear up I didn’t mean that I didn’t know if 38 Special was safe in 357. I know it was but I’m just saying is that a particularly good bullet?
ASnakeNamedNate@reddit
PMC is a pretty reputable brand. It’s made in Korea as their main source for their military too. Better than Winchester white box.
Though it doesn’t matter a whole lot for range ammo. Defensive loads in pistols is where quality is more important, and in rifles that would be for hunting or precision loads.

Good practice ammo
