If you are having a seizure just hit the brakes and stop the car until you get better
MyKidsArentOnReddit@reddit
instant anti lock brakes
queef_nuggets@reddit
Brakes should be banned too
SummertimeThrowaway2@reddit
Facts, why would I want something to be broken?
P1zzaman@reddit
This is a good idea. Cars are meant to transport you forward. Why include a way to impede this.
SentenceAwkward5302@reddit
+1 on the crazy.
XROOR@reddit
People with seizures whilst driving should design highway merges when a lane closes
sandshark68@reddit
Almost like it’s a crazy idea…
CatAteRoger@reddit
People WITHOUT a history of seizures shouldn’t be allowed to drive???
So because I’ve never had a seizure I shouldn’t drive? That makes no sense.
For those who you are allowing to drive because they’ve had seizures don’t seem a risk to you?
althawk8357@reddit (OP)
I guess you can say this is a crazy idea.
Opening_Coach_1945@reddit
They are not allowed to drive without an extended period of no seizure activity
eslteachyo@reddit
Go back and read the second word again lol
Laserlight_jazz@reddit
“People”?
eslteachyo@reddit
Without Without a history of seizures
Laserlight_jazz@reddit
“Allowed”?
TotallyManner@reddit
Technically, all drivers are required to have had an extended period of no seizure activity 🤔
(I too missed the second word at first)
Nate_Christ@reddit
Do I get a pass? I totaled my car because of dissociation and sensory processing
queef_nuggets@reddit
I’d love to know how the insurance company took that
Nate_Christ@reddit
The road was ultra slick, and many people fuck their car up on this curve in particular, they thought nothing of it. However it was bare bones insurance, only covers damages like if I hit someone else's property, so I got nothing. I don't drive anymore, voluntarily
swayedsuede@reddit
... Why?
althawk8357@reddit (OP)
Because it's a crazy idea.
Brandoncarsonart@reddit
I like the cut of your jib
queef_nuggets@reddit
Do you know what sub this is
zoredache@reddit
I am sure they do, but most of the post that are popular on this sub often include an attempt at providing some reason.
queef_nuggets@reddit
I think we must be talking about different subs
LunaticBZ@reddit
Isn't it obvious.
Without a history of seizures you have no idea how likely you are to have a seizure. Since you never had one before therefore its an unknown unknown.
Where as someone who has seizures before the risk is a known unknown.
(Or he just stole the idea from the guy who posted people with seizures shouldn't be allowed to drive about an hour ago in this same sub and flipped it.)
Unindoctrinated@reddit
Where I live, they aren't, at least not without a doctor's certificate stating they are on appropriate medication. The same applies to people with narcolepsy.
Failure to mention you have any medical condition that may affect your driving will void your insurance.
GrandmaForPresident@reddit
So just get put in a rear naked choke and get your license?
Anguscablejnr@reddit
I actually see what your getting at...but what about brain autism, heart arrithmias, hypoglycemia.
I think your argument is that people who've had seizures are being treated or at least monitored and are thus less likely than an average person to have a seizure.
First of all, only the first part of that is correct.
And second of all as mentioned above there's a bunch of other possible conditions that could occurs suddenly and impair driving.
Airplade@reddit
What language was this question translated from? I don't think it finished cooking yet. JFC
CoderJoe1@reddit
I seiz what ya did there
Physical_Floor_8006@reddit
Better idea: Let's cut out the middleman and just make not having seizures illegal.
