Yeah I read that and was like fucking what? Reddit? That’s the source? Of course Reddit is going to say it’s because of politics. Realistically speaking I’m sure there’s some political disagreements that contributed to Cypress Hill pulling out, but the actual reason is likely poor ticket sales.

As someone who used to work in the concert industry, I can say that the industry is made up of all sorts of characters with just about every conceivable personality and political leaning. It’s a tough industry where egos clash all the time. Talent will have disagreements and beef amongst themselves or with other talent, management, promoters, etc all the time. Most people, especially industry vets like Sublime and Cypress Hill that have been touring for decades, can generally put the bullshit aside and perform because it’s their job and they want to get paid. Frankly no one cares if the talent or whoever doesn’t get along with everyone, they just care if they can hold up their end of the contract. However, the minute the money isn’t there, such as from poor ticket sales, bands will pull out faster than you can blink. As they say, bullshit walks and money talks.
