It was a single F-15 WSO (weapons officer). We know he went down in Iranian territory, and the US claims to have recovered him. The US claims that the 2 lost C-130's were part of the SAR operation for this WSO, but that seems highly unlikely.
The idea of a raid on the Isfahan nuclear facility makes sense, and the payload of Little Birds and fuel bladders is a good fit for that mission. So when that mission went sideways, the US covered up by claiming that all their activity was CSAR for the missing WSO so they could claim victory rather than acknowledging their raid had failed.
Further context that the mission was primarily focussed on Isfahan is that the site of the destroyed aircraft is about 200km from where the WSO went down, and much, much closer to Isfahan than to the bail site, according to this analyst.
Not pilot, Weapons Service Officer. AFAIK, they haven't identified this individual or allowed any interviews or photos. This is counter to standard practice of giving the guy the hero treatment.
There's innocent reasons for this - maybe he's all banged up, maybe he's denouncing Trump's orders that put him in harm's way, but it's just as likely that the story is all bullshit and the CIA is right now scrambling to find someone who can play a WSO convincingly without being called out as a fake by his supposed squadron mates.
But hey - wouldn't you prefer to hear about the lunar mission?
This is a complete joke. The idea that Iran lured in American forces and initiated a trap, destroying multiple aircraft with personnel operating them but somehow not killing a single person, is absurd. I get that it’s a bit humiliating to have the US conduct a rescue operation while landing 200 miles inside your country, but you can cope with the hundreds of millions of dollars in destroyed aircraft rather than inventing this nonsense.
In the minds of Americans; You can "lure" enemies and create traps of the enemy but when it comes to it happening to your own forces you think it isn't possible?
You know how the Vietnam war worked right? You also know that military intelligence for the sake of morale is not going to release a public statement on such a drastic blow.. So you have no idea based on US media what is going on over there
American media has generally been quite willing to report on failed military operations. After the disastrous failure of Operation Eagle Claw for example, the White House announced the failure the next day, and it was followed by considerable news coverage.
I mean it certainly isn't to the same degree as in the past and it also can't really be considering how many people have access to cell phones and cameras now.
Still though; The military intelligence is never going to release every bit of information in regards to their own failures as it lowers the morale of the men who serve and also drains the public support from the United States which at this time is more vital than ever for Trump..
Psychological warfare is also a part of all of this and that works on both sides.. Each will try to glorify their own achievements while reducing their failures or mistakes
Iranian state media content, but it’s not so far fetched. During the days this was happening wasn’t trump gone from public eye and ppl thought he was in the hospital?

So what actually happened to the F15 pilots? I thought they were rescued?

I think the raid was successful in the fact the got some fuel grade for a false flag
Chi_Cazzo_Sei@reddit
So there is no credible source of info about the pilot’s current whereabouts?

You are being downvoted because you are fighting against bots and propaganda. This is the Truman show. When they have control, they win the media war.

Unfortunately the actual complete joke is 40% of Americans that believe what comes out of the White House.

If this is true (and I believe it is closer to the truth than "never leave a man behind", it will be the disgrace of Trump. Even more than Epstein.

Press tv?
TetherTodd123@reddit
Yes.. It's been around for decades and in all honesty has always had better quality of journalists than any western media
mooripo@reddit
Well at this point any source is more credible than the US ones

In this thread people do not know how to use a search engine.
Ffs just type "press tv" in the search engine bar that is literally built into the home screen of the device you are reading this on.
