Failure over Hormuz lies entirely on the United States Government. Zelensky can't say that part out loud because it would cause issues with aid received from America needed to fight Russia. It's fair to say that UNSC hasn't performed any meaningful action beyond talking amongst themselves on the issue in front of them. There will not be a consensus to act because they want to wait out a resolution they can either confirm or deny was the appropriate action, after it's already happened. We support this.We condemn that. We find after investigating blah-blah-blah, that so and so acted in the worst first best interest of a major entity on behalf of no-one, and we sent a letter detailing these findings.
fuckshitballscunt@reddit
Iran is also party to the conflict in Ukraine. Iran having a conflict to deal with in their own back yard is beneficial to Ukraine.
GerryAdamsSon@reddit
Iran is not a party to the war in Ukraine, it's involvement began and ended with giving plans for drones to Russia
fuckshitballscunt@reddit
It also provided drones, not just plans.
GerryAdamsSon@reddit
I don't think Ukraine is in a position to be talking about hitting civilian targets when it has sent drone operators to Israel to train the IDF to hit civilian targets.
Is the landscape a little bitch who is fully involved in the genocide in Gaza but then cries about Russia
Czart@reddit
Yea yea boris. Calm your vodka and shuffle into the trenches.
GerryAdamsSon@reddit
Waaa waaa, people are waking up to reality, the propaganda doesn't work anymore
fuckshitballscunt@reddit
At least try to keep your ear poison believable. You just sound crazy lol.
Czart@reddit
Here you cheap bot: Russia invades Ukraine. Iran helps Russia. Israel is hostile to Iran. Ever heard "enemy of my enemy"? So keep your "suprressed dickriding" ass out of this eh?
SalokinSekwah@reddit
> it's involvement began and ended with giving plans for drones to Russia
Including being one of the only countries alongside Belarus and Syria to immediately condone the invasion?
kwonza@reddit
Zelenskiy seems to have a fucking opinion on every single issue that happens in the world right now. Nobody was shitting on him when his major counteroffensive campaign ended up taking a single village and two wheat fields.
eagleal@reddit
Not only that, but just as an fyi Ukraine itself is striking russian ships with oil and gas in the Mediterrean, along with strikes on platforms in the Black sea.
kwonza@reddit
So? Piracy doesn’t give you any experience of making a straight safe to sail. If a person managed to rob two gas stations wont make him a pro in a hostage situation
Dad2DnA@reddit
How's that 2 week war going for you, buddy? About as well as ours, I'd say. How many of your friends and loved ones have died in Putin's stupid, pointless war of aggression and conquest that has devolved, predictably, into one of attrition?
kwonza@reddit
Well you don’t see Putin or me giving shit takes on reopening of Hormuz, do you?
Dad2DnA@reddit
Fair enough, though I don't think it's a shit take. NATO has no balls anymore, mostly due to Trump's shit talking and strong arming. Nobody appreciates getting bullied and shit on constantly. Why would any of them stick their necks out for us?
TheRicFlairDrip@reddit
NATO is a defensive organization
Dad2DnA@reddit
Yes, and this is a war of choice for us, as were Iraq and Afghanistan, but NATO provided support for us in both instances. We were never attacked or seriously threatened by Iran in this instance, so NATO has no obligation to support us, but the same was true for Iraq and Afghanistan, yet they sent troops because our president at the time, while shitty, was not a lunatic who constantly shits on our allies.
kwonza@reddit
Why would they? Trump will be gone in 3 years, maybe even earlier. Kowtowing to him and sending troops to deal with US and Israel problems would destroy any support that European politicians have at home while giving them zero benefits. Trump has nothing to offer them in return anyway.
Dad2DnA@reddit
My point, exactly
Arshiaa001@reddit
What kind of alternate timeline is this, where the Russian and the American are agreeing on something, and I'm agreeing with both of them?
Dad2DnA@reddit
Weird, right? But here we are. I hope that you and yours are well and safe, though I fear that's probably not the case. I'm really deeply sorry and saddened by all of this. Most of us over here never wanted any of this, even the dumbfucks who voted for Trump.
Arshiaa001@reddit
Here's to hoping the ceasefire evolves into a lasting peace, everybody needs more of that right now.
fuckyou_redditmods@reddit
The power of Trump to unite people (against him) is unprecedented
Pyrric_Endeavour@reddit
Finish your three day special operation Ivan.
Or else Putin has a window for you!
Jg0jg0@reddit
Honestly when was the last time UNSC issued and ratified an agreement between the select few of the members and it was delivered? Security council meeting all the time and vote on things, they either have 1 member veto as they're involved, or the accused/party voted against, simply don't care and carry on. The last 5 years proves how useless a UN is without any means to conduct their own judgements.

studio_bob@reddit
This is the UNSC, not the General Assembly. The UNSC has actual power to act. It won't act because one permanent member (US) is perpetrating a war of aggression and two others (Russia and China) have zero interest in getting dragged into a war against Iran on the side of the US or legitimating US aggression. It's not really about appearances.
MKUltra_reject69_2@reddit
He needs to know his place and his place is the Ukraine. The situation in the Middle East is chaotic enough, and does not need an outsider, an agitator, stirring up the pot.
CptPicard@reddit
Not "the" Ukraine. Just Ukraine. But I suspect you're being intentional.
PurpleMclaren@reddit
Wait till you find out that hes Jewish and large part of his family is in Isreal.
GerryAdamsSon@reddit
That adds up fully, it's probably where he will end up if not killed by his own people
hellopan123@reddit
It surely will, Russia is winning any day now
Funny how Ukraine are nazis but Zelenskyy heritage gets always brought up as some explanation
Plasma_Blitz@reddit
Right, the situation in the Middle East that has led to spiking oil revenue that continues to enable Russia's war machine. His place is wherever it is that continues to benefit Russia.
SatisfactionDry3038@reddit
Zelensky is a well known supporter of the Gaza genocide. He did not start now.
papstvogel@reddit
You and all your fellows over at jewsofconscience have my utmost respect. I wish both Jews and Arabs would be able to call out the horrible things happening from either side / government without making things about race, and accept that we’re actually so very closely related.
Anxious_Katz@reddit
Both siding the situation after 4 years of non stop Livestreamed genocide. What's wrong with you!
papstvogel@reddit
You might have misunderstood me. I am not siding with the government you are most likely referring to, I am just sad that what’s happening in the Levante is causing such a rift between Jews and Arabs, who are actually both Semites. Before Oct. 7th I’ve spent a lot of time at work trying to build relationships with Israeli coworkers (as a half Palestinian) because I felt it’s the right thing to do. Unfortunately everything that happened since has all but destroyed those. I feel similarly about Iran, I find it horrible how Arabs are cheering for the country being bombed because they have - for idiotic reasons - a strong hatred for the country. Bonus points for KSA not allowing Iranians to go for Hajj, absolutely disgraceful of the government.
Bis_Eastwood@reddit
Im calling bullshit on you being half Palestinian. You would know all the atrocities leading up to Oct 7 that were caused against Palestinians, and wouldnt be making stupid statements.
Had mosques frequently being raided and burned down like clock work during ramadans, and Israeli terrorists constantly invading people's homes to kill the people and settle their property.
papstvogel@reddit
Are you on meds or something? Why are you acting like I am excusing anything happening to Palestinians? Jewsofconscience is a sub standing against the actions of Israel to the Gazans and the Westbank, hence my statement above.
Bis_Eastwood@reddit
No one cares about your thoughts on jewsofconscience. You specifically mentioned trying to make friends with your "Israeli coworkers"(not just a j, an israeli) because its the "right thing to do" why would it be the right thing to do to accommodate your oppressor? Spent a lot of time talking about Arabs too when its pretty clear shiites are being ethnically cleansed right now with Arab backing
21shadesofblueberry@reddit
being fair to Zelensky Iran has given Russia drones and the closing of Hormuz has put an even harsher strain on the Ukrainian energy grid. He's unfortunately tied at the hip with Trump so he cant criticize him so hes probably hoping to earn some brownie points to hopefully butter him up for future aid.
chillichampion@reddit (OP)
Or an even simpler explanation, he’s a Zionist and is on board with the Israel project.
SalokinSekwah@reddit
Or that Iran is one of the few countries that supported Russia's invasion?
sofixa11@reddit
The war his country is fighting is made drastically more complicated due to the closure of the Hormuz (Russia is receiving a lot more money they desperately need), but yes, it's so much simpler that he's a Zionist so he wants the strait open because of Zionism.
Pick_Scotland1@reddit
You’ll notice this sub is full of anti-western at any cost shills
Zelensky blamed nobody but the UNSC for not being able to work together to see the end of the crisis in the straight but all the shills are jumping on him
namikazeiyfe@reddit
Lol... Let their simple minds be
kapsama@reddit
To be fair to Iran, Zelensky is an enthusiastic supporter of Zionism and the Gaza genocide.
BarbequedYeti@reddit
This dude is quickly sliding down the support pole. Seriously...
I know you need the support and money, but you also need to step back and not become what you hate in the process of seeking that support and money...
This whole fucking mess is at the feet of Trump and his supporters.
Pick_Scotland1@reddit
What are you on about? The man can critic the UNSC for not being able to function correctly
3nterShift@reddit
Zelensky has been vocally against Iran to please the hand that feeds him, but also understandably because Iran armed Russia with drones that killed Ukrainian servicemen. He can't admit it because of geopolitical alignment but Iran is Ukraine in this situation. They have been attacked unprovoked and no matter how much western media massage you're willing to take they have been attacked during every negotiation stage.
I don't like the repressive regime either but they are 100 % right when they say they're waging a defensive war and now Trump basically granted them control over the Strait of Hormuz. I don't think there's been a bigger military humiliation of the US in their entire history. And I'm Vietnamese.
Conscious-Abalone-86@reddit
Well maybe you should have seen this coming and not celebrated in glee when the ayatollah was killed and the school children slaughtered? Also, why are you running around the world trying to stir things up as the risk of global conflict is rising?
www.aljazeera.com/amp/news/2026/3/24/why-has-india-arrested-us-ukrainian-nationals-under-anti-terror-laws
Pick_Scotland1@reddit
I mean he’s not lying and solely puts blame on the unsc for failing to work
Which we all can admit it hasn’t worked in a while and it’s causing the only means to stop these global crises from continuing
Rich_Housing971@reddit
What's this guy's logic?
"To end the war, Russia just has to leave! We shouldn't have to do anything since they invaded us!"
"But the UNSC needs to make Iran reopen the Strait!"
dude's become quite the bellend.
imunfair@reddit
Man uses someone else's war to voice his disapproval over the action of the alliance he's currently fighting. Truly a shocking development. How will Russia and China recover from this scathing "slam"?
