Hello all! I (20M from the US) am looking for some travel recommendations because I have a study abroad class starting on June 13th in Melbourne and was looking to do some solo travel in the area for about two weeks before hand. What country/countries would you all recommend checking out before I go to Australia? I am looking to stay around the region so Oceania, Pacific Islands, and Southeast Asia. I am interested in staying in social hostels and hiking. I have primarily looked into Vietnam and the Ha Giang Loop but think the weather might make it quite hot and humid/wet, so I have started looking into New Zealand, Northern Australia, and Indonesia as well. I would love to hear some recommendations from you all about where would be a good use of roughly 12 days!
