Glock 43 for $300 Worth It If I Already Carry a Shield?

So I recently had the opportunity to buy a Glock 43 from a buddy at work for $300. He said it’s basically new — only about 50 rounds through it.
My only hesitation is that it’s single stack and only holds 6 rounds, which kinda throws me off.
I currently carry a Smith & Wesson M&P Shield, so I’m already used to a smaller, lower-capacity gun.
At the same time, it being a Glock is what’s really got my attention, and the price seems really solid.
Just looking for your guys’ opinions — would you pick it up or pass?

i see them on armlist for around 300 sometimes not that crazy of a deal tbh

I personally didn't like the G43, but if you show me a like new G43X for $300 and I'll buy it in a heartbeat.
I guess the better question is how much would the $300 hurt you financially and are you in NEED of a new carry gun?

Eh, maybe the deflection toward the G43X, when OP talks about a G43. Your advice doesn't help him.
FatBoyStew@reddit
OP asked if its worth it -- I gave my opinion on the G43 meaning I WOULD NOT do it unless it was the 43X.
I also then asked a question that OP should ask himself then explicitly stated that the price is still a good price.
Quite literally answered the entirety of OP's post lol

Your second point, definitely the larger part of your post, is absolutely spot-on and helpful advice. And I wasn't irked by your personal observation about G43Xs, but I'm guessing that's what pissed people off, I couldn't see anything that was jarringly inaccurate, just the personal insert (if anything).

1) It's a good price.
2) It's not going to replace your current carry gun, so if that's what you're looking for and you would have no other purpose for it, you should choose not to get it.

any handgun well under used resale is a snag. once you have a gun in every room, you can start having a gun both ends of every room, all corners, so on and so forth..
no need to "rotate" or carry every gun you buy.

This is just science. Pure truth.
Sensitive_Box_@reddit
No. You can get a new 43x for $400 on sale. Look for one of those used.
So $300 for a worse gun would be a pass for me.
JimMarch@reddit
No.
Sorry. The Shield is still a better gun even if it's an original single stack.

A name brand gun for 300. I don’t even like Glocks and I would have peeled 300 off before he changed his mind. There’s always a place for it. Bug out bag, hunting backpack, end table drawer, shower gun, whatever. Or a quick flip for 50-100 dollar profit.

Buy it

Offer 200$. They also make aftermarket 9 round magazines

Buy it

I still carry mine every once in awhile and I’ve had it since they were introduced. Get a plus 2 mag and it helps.
Racktracker1@reddit
I would definitely buy it. Worst case scenario you can resell it and make a few bucks. You can get 9 round mags for it if you decide to carry it.
