ULPT: Skip unpaid internships/work experience

Not gonna lie, who actually has the time (or money) to go work for free for months right now?
If your course is pushing “work experience” but you’re already working, there are ways people get it signed off without doing a full-on placement. Half the time it’s just about ticking whatever boxes they’re looking for.
I’ve seen people use what they’re already doing, or get someone to back it up for them. Sometimes a family friend and sometimes a paid service.
Not saying anything… just saying it’s a thing.

This is not an ULPT if it's too vague to be helpful

Well I respectfully disagree. There are services out there just have to search reddit for that, or find a friend or family member who could do it via their real business. Not everyone knows such things exist in the first place.

I think most people know people are adding fake jobs/internships to their resumes

Except that's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about where your university or college requires you to do work experience / internship for say 6 months in your final year. The "the employer" has to sign off certain documentation with the educational institution. Don't do it and you won't graduate. But lots of people are in a catch 22 where they also need to work for money to support their studies, even more so with the cost of living.

how though? like I remember needing healthcare experience at a hospital/clinic and I can't imagine any medical professional would just sign off that you did 1000 hours or something, when you didnt. Family/friends wouldnt feel comfortable to do it either I imagine.

Yes you're right I don't think it would work for that but I have seen it with things that are office based.
