Not quite. The Samson option varies in a very big way. While mutually assured destruction ensures the destruction of the attacking nation should they decide to use WMDs, the Samson option also extends to allies and those who are “meant to protect” Israel. It’s widely speculated this is why the USA has such a hard on for protecting Israel, and in fact why many European countries bend the knee.

Imagine literally all of the USA getting blown up because we didn’t protect Israel well enough even though we’re allies. This is almost certainly the reality of the situation

I miss "nothing ever happens" even though when nothing ever happened I wanted something to happen and now things are happening as opposed to no things happening I am upset that the aforementioned is happening, as I have come to prefer nothing happening to something happening because the nothing that ever happened appears preferable, in it's essential substance and form, to the some things that are coming to pass.

Nothing ever happens still holds true. The status quo has not changed. Things have been getting gradually shittier for years now but human lives in the West have not been truly upended. I suppose everyone has their own cutoff for 'happenings' but in my mind unless there's a new US mandatory draft or unless we actually launch nukes, then I'm still going to keep saying Nothing Ever Happens.
